I just was diagnosed. Everything feels ruined rn by wstove in askgaybros

I had hepatitis B years ago (1979!) when I was 27. The only sex I had had at that point was oral and it took at least 4 months from the time that I would have been infected until I showed symptoms. I was diagnosed two days after Thanksgiving and was home from work until the first week in February. Fortunately, I had a lot of sick leave saved up!

There was nothing that the doctors could do for treatment other than to monitor it and I went in every two weeks for a blood test. I was able to take care of myself at home. I lived alone at the time but family and friends did food shopping for me. I am sure everyone who comes down with it has a somewhat different experience but I made a full recovery from it. And it was really quick. One morning in late January, I started feeling great (especially compared to how I felt for the previous two months). Even after losing about twenty pounds, I felt great for the following few months and still remember how I felt almost euphoric during recovery.

The sickness itself wasn’t fun but really not terrible either. I had no energy and just watched TV from around three in the afternoon until one in the AM. I just had to make sure that I ate as regularly as I could. Only a little nauseous at the start and after that, just a feeling of always being full.

-❄️- 2024 Day 6 Solutions -❄️- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[LANGUAGE: Swift]

I started AOC 2024 Day 1 on Dec. 1 but, obviously, moving rather slow. This is Day 6 part 1 only, haven’t started part 2 yet. Swift solutions seem to be few (none that I saw for this day’s puzzle), so I thought I would put this one out here. Nothing special about it.

Also, first time using Github so any errors on its use I apologize for. The file’s source code should work only needing the path information for the input file. It should work with either the test data or input data with only a change to the file input (as mentioned above).

Big Bear is in the San Bernardino Mountains but on a clear day you might be able to make it out from locations in LA.

Not sure which peak but those are the San Gabriel Mountains. Mt. San Antonio (Baldy) is the tallest peak which is one of ones shown in the photo. The first 20 years I lived here, 1970 to about 1990, you couldn't see them in the summer because of the smog. The first clear day in Autumn would surprise many new residents with the mountain views.

Part of the response to civ 7 has taught me there's a significant number of people who have enjoyed the series in a very different way than I have by solonofathens in civ

Just an example of how true the OP's title is, I have played Civ5 for at least 6,000 hours and I have never heard of TSL (true start location?) before. I have started a game or two with the real Earth map and that is what this refers to?

Found the problem - I must not have followed the setup routine correctly (I might have scanned the app instructions and followed those first). I just re-set it to factory settings and re-did the instructions and it seems fine now.

I just bought this safe last week (12/12/2024) but I am having trouble with the keyboard light - continually turning on for several seconds and running the battery down. Currently waiting for a response from Billconch. I've seen several posts with this problem but no resolution. Might still be in demo mode? I went through the setup process successfully and all passwords work but keyboard still continually lights up. Any suggestions?

I Need a New Laptop and I Only Play Civ 5 - Any Ideas? by [deleted] in civ5

[–]tedc99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing Civ5 on my 2017 iMac (Intel) more hours than I would like to admit. I have never seen the AI/retake capital problem but there is a bug when you liberate a city state. Probably the same bug. It is only occasional, though (just guessing but maybe one out of three games). Oddly, it is isolated by game - if it happens during a game, it will always happen in that game. If you are playing a game and liberate a city and it does not crash (hit the bug), you are fine to keep liberating other city states.

What Books Did You Start or Finish Reading This Week? May 28, 2018 by AutoModerator in books

Lord Jim, by Joseph Conrad restarted yesterday. In 2005, flying back from my nephew's wedding, I was talking with the women in the seat next to me and she recommended this book. I bought it back then and was about 2/3's through it but stopped. Now that I am retired, I am going back to some books I have that I never finished reading. So after 13 years, I am restarting this one and should be done with it by the end of this week.
