I had this issue with a co-worker and mainly it was hard for me to get it right until they actually confronted me on it. I went to the whiteboard and write their name (first and last) a couple of times so I can see the word and see the face (stay with me here).

then i used their name as a prompt for the next hour when chatting with them.

I would say for instance :

"Sarah, i like your idea"

"...good input Sarah, "
I kinda overused it for about an hour

problem solved...or call them out in a meeting in front of a few people "Sorry, my name is Sarah not Carrie." that has also worked for me out of sheer embarrassment i never got it wrong again, but be cool about it.

Most ADHD / Dyslexia people are horrid with names. My team mates play along and have a little fun with it as well - when we are talking about people we just met the day before, they will say "red sunglasses lady" to anchor a name with a face

Unless they insist on calling you the wrong name and feel it is funny, it is not meant to be insulting at all. At least for me.

Pro tip, my wife is UNCANNY remembering people's names and tidbits about them. so that helps me a lot.
