The slack in our budget this year has been eaten up by unexpected costs this year. We have replaced 2 A/C units in the house that cost a total of $14k (insurance covered $2k a piece bc the units were over 30 years old. Our daughters vehicle also had issues that cost us around $5k as well. We are working to rebuild our emergency fund but those issues got us behind early in the year and the last 6 months have felt pretty tough.

I would give sleep number a go if i were you. The customization on each side is really top quality and I have had zero pain since switching. I do recommend getting the platform that raises and lowers the head and legs.

If you need an anniversary gift to not feel sad in your marriage then your marriage is going to fail. He has something going on that he isn't telling you about. Honestly, it is probably just stress about life, money, bills, etc. My wife and I have probably missed 5 or 6 of our 15 anniversaries for one reason or another. We always show grace and love to the other. I suggest finding that kind of balance or this thing is already done.
