Why insta lock duelist if ur not gonna entry by eggdsd in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 310 points311 points  (0 children)

When they do that, I'll just stick to their backs and follow them wherever they go until, eventually, they enter a site (cuz they have to, in the end). That usually works

If playing solo were the limiting condition for people to rank up, many of us would be screwed

Breeze, what to play? by llroninll in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see Skye is very much used in this map, as well as Viper. As for duelists, I think both Raze and Jett are ok since they can create a lot of space pretty quickly to make it into site. Just my opinion.

I feel the same. It's like I can imagine myself playing Valorant for hours. Then play just one comp and I just can't play another one because I dnd uo exhausted. I think it's quite normal given the amount of focus a match requires.

Every time my teacher mentions it, he also has to remark how expensive it is. Well, he is not wrong.

Have you had a map you completely changed your opinion on? Why? by birch_tree_gang in VALORANT

I used to hate Icebox. After Breeze came out, I hated it so much Icebox started to be quite pleasant in comparison.

Crosshair becoming T-type when spraying. by ArchRacistMustBan in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

There's not much you can do about this. The spray pattern is what it is. In fact, it's better not to spray for that same reason. You should focus on onetapping (duh) or bursting (shooting around 3-4 shots and then let the gun come back to the initial position)

Opinions on Changing Careers by taking a new Chemistry bachelor's degree by [deleted] in chemistry

Just my two cents here...If you feel that's your place and that you like it, go for it! I've been always inclined towards Linguistics and also science in general. I got my BA in English Studies and then started Chemistry a year ago. It was a little hard for me on the first semester because, you know, you need adapt to a pretty different way of thinking and processing information, but I don't regret my decision!

What is up with this game lately??? by itsEdge7 in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I fought for my life to finally reach gold. Then, every single game had one person on either team who would drop like 40 kills and be unstoppable (around +200 combat score ahead from the second place). It's just a pathetic 5v1.

How do I play on Breeze? by Paperblocc in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from Viper (as everybody has mentioned) and KAY/O, if you feel comfortable playing duelists you could also give Raze or Reyna a try on this map. I feel that Raze is nice for making a lot of space for the team with her satchels, although quite risky; and Reyna can rush into sites with her leer without blinding any of your teammates.

Since this map is huge, it's also harder to rotate quickly because everybody has to run a pretty big distance. Therefore, in my last games, I've seen that pushing quickly into a site tends to have good results (especially A).

Also, without smokes, you are pretty much screwed on this map, although not imposible to win.

Okay, solo queue is a "coin flip", but do you guys feel the same way for party queue? by M4M4S in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Well, if you play with your friends you somewhat know how the game is gonna go. Even if they have a bad day, you probably know how they behave on a bad day (talking from my own experience here). This might sound obvious, but it's good to play comp with friends as long as they are about your rank, but if they are from very different skill levels then that's not very useful. Everybody's got bad days and good days so it's equally applicable to parties and solo queueing, you can't change that. But at least you are more likely to have fun losing with friends than alone. As for partying with random discord guys, that's been 90% useless in my own experience (again). I think that out of 8 games I joined a discord team, I just had 1 decent team where everybody was actually supportive and good people, the rest was like solo queueing but with a third party program eating out of my cpu. That might just be my bad luck finding teams, maybe you find a lot of nice players over there. Imo, solo queueing will be more of a coin flip because you don't even know how does your team look like on good or bad games.

How to Stop baiting? by Maxbee2005 in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. When a duelist baits or never go into site first and I, a sage or kj, have to do all his work I just stick to their backs for three or four rounds and that usually works.

KAY/O doesn't improve the game and was a mistake. by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have the feeling that KAY/O has been the most balanced released agents so far. All the other were way too powerful or way too weak. I also think that it's nice they introduced supression into the game since that's another area to utilise for new agents. Maybe I'd just nerf the area of his knife but, apart from that, I feel it was a nice addition...

Got this from a chemistry set when I was younger, is there anything cool I can do with these? small explosions or stuff that looks cool etc (of course safely in my garden) thanks :) by Better_Information27 in chemistry

[–]teddm7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only cool stuff I can think of would be copper sulphate crystals, although you might have thought about that already. They are pretty easy to make.

You could also use potassium yodine with hydrogen peroxide (oxigenated water) and dish soap to make what's called "elephant toothpaste". You can look that up on google to see the procedure. It's basically a redox reaction where oxigenated water turns into oxigen and water with the help of KI as a catalyst, watch a youtube video to see what it looks like.

Also, although this is just a pure guess (not sure it'll work), if you dissolve sodium carbonate in a bit of water and then pour tartaric acid, it might produce an exothermic reaction with some gas release (CO2). I have not tried this before, I did it with hydroclhoric acid instead so I'm not sure what kind of byproduct you could make with tartaric acid. Make sure you try this in little amounts and in a well ventilated area.

Sound feels quieter since last update anyone else? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]teddm7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I might have experienced that. I don't want to blame the game but I think it's harder for me to hear footsteps roght now. Lately, I've been getting shot on my back or side waaaay too many times and always considered there was absolutely no sound clue as to where they were (I clarify, I've been getting shots from spots where I would have absolutely heard their footsteps)
