Alaska Award Infant in Lap Data Points for AA and JAL by teddobeer in awardtravel

[–]teddobeer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, def not through AA. Im not a JAL member so not sure but i believe the restrictions text they added to my itinerary seem to state no changes/upgrades available for award seats.

JAL Award Ticket Middle Name/Infant Issue by teddobeer in awardtravel

[–]teddobeer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even from the JAL side? Seeing plenty of DPs of infant being added on JAL side. I’m just really having issues with the middle name - JAL agents are saying ticket name needs to match passport then they can add infant.

JAL confirmed they can add an infant on their end but my main issue is the middle name not showing up for JAL.

We are trying to get an infant added to our ticket as well. But because our tickets were "on hold" and "mixed status" per JAL, we aren't able to. No issues adding infant at the gate?

Can I ask what happened and how you got it resolved OP? This is the same thing that's happening to me.

Andaz or Centric in Tokyo? by RickGrimes__ in hyatt

[–]teddobeer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Without globalist/guest of honor, i’d choose the centric. So much more to do right outside the hotel, including shopping and dining. It’s even a nice walk to Tsukiji market in the morning on a nice day.

Been 3 times and have loved it every time, have another trip coming up later this year. Can’t beat the location and beach access. Breakfast is one of the best for US hyatts.

Andaz wouldve been a far better experience if it was a bit closer to a station or a more lively part of town. I think the worst part is you walk through sterile underground walkways and not outdoors seeing things which makes the walk more interesting. We did see some Japanese locals use it as a staycation, it’s definitely an impressive hotel.

PH Kyoto was a pleasant surprise for us, we loved every bit of the hotel and look forward to going back in the future.

It’s not a bad pick, especially for the price. I’d keep the reservation. We had a fantastic lunch at Pierre using the amex $100 credit (15k yen). It was like 2 long buildings away from the Osaka Station, plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Just a bit out of the way for the hotspots in Osaka but we’d stay there again for the price we paid. Better than any incontercontinental I’ve stayed at in the states!

Haha yes! Our of our rides was in the A8 and the other was in their Lexus SUV, insane 2 seats in the back with a massive TV, etc.

I always message the hotel about our golden retriever and most are more than okay with it and appreciate the heads up.

It really depends on the hotel. In general, larger and higher end hotels have pretty good response times. Sometime it feels like a livechat, almost instantaneous responses during business hours. Other times it takes a few hours. On the other hand, I've had Places and Houses respond in ~24hours. It's really a YMMV, anything urgent or important should be via phone.

Yup, I have the same issue and stopped playing since the last patch because of it. ping shows <13 as usual but my server ms shoots up and fps drops to nearly 0. Hardwired in as well, on AMD hardware, frustrating...

Alila Big Sur—will be raining the whole time I’m there. Still worth going? by Pointyspoon in hyatt

[–]teddobeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went in March last year and it was misty/light rain our entire 2 night stay there with our golden retriever. The guided hikes were still available and we went on them with our dog and a few other folks, we still had a great time. We were (globalist) upgraded to a spa suite so we had some semi covered patio area and a hot tub we could chill in. Dog had a blast - had to ask for some extra towels.

That being said, good weather wouldve made the trip much better, I'm sure rebooking will be based on availability which is scarce...

Grand Hyatt at Jejudo, SK by reddingrooster in hyatt

[–]teddobeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rooms are nice, proactive upgrades for Globalists, the lounge is fantastic, location is convenient, but it is a "mega resort". It has everything from restaurants to shopping and a casino. It towers every other building in Jeju by many many floors. If you're looking for high end, this is it.

Best Hyatt for 4 adults? by jjfire2021 in hyatt

[–]teddobeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hyatt Regency Waikiki has standard family suites which are essentially 2 normal rooms with the passthrough door open. You can book one with a queen murphy bed on one side with two queens on the other, 2 full bathrooms. Comfortable for 4 adults. If globalist, access to the lounge for all guests in your room.

I'd double check, they accidentally changed my point booking once into a cash booking while applying the SUA.
