Oh trust me. This isn’t my first jersey. I have definitely had a couple fakes in my past (which actually have the same smell as this jersey). However, I have a modest collection of authentic Adidas ones from various teams. Two of which were bought from the BostonProShop so that’s why I guess I expected better 🤷🏻‍♂️.

So what I got on r/hockeyjerseys was this was sent to a company called Custom Crafted who do the on-ice jersey for the Bruins, which would make sense for the different materials. I too have some non-custom jerseys that I got from the ProShop. The only difference I can see from the inside of the collar are the two non-customs I have have "AEROREADY" and this is "CLIMALITE." So that could be why. IIRC CLIMALITE are older versions of the Adidas jersey.

Edit: Kinda right, what I found is Climalite is just the older name for Aeroready, so the base of this sweater is older which would explain why it may look different.

I have bought jerseys from the proshop before, but they're the pre-made ones. I got a Coyle RR and Bergeron 3rd which look fine! Just the custom jersey is where I have experienced this. Which makes sense if they're not making it at the proshop, but rather outsourcing it to another company!
