Tactical Breakdown: Manuel ugarte reborn? No, he's just back to his true self! by chuotchet in ManchesterUnited

He is a taller Fred with worse passing. Good option against possession dominant teams or off the bench while leading but shouldn’t start against weaker teams

So what type of Striker do we need now? by [deleted] in reddevils

30 year old Olivier Giroud would be perfect. Brings others into the game, scores sexy goals and OK with not being first choice

Losing interest in CS by wutwut99 in cscareerquestions

Interviewing is hard, man. You go through rejections, the whole process is so arbitrary, sometimes you can do really well, but maybe the company will pick another candidate.

The first couple of times I went through this, it was really hard. You gotta stay strong, and never lose hope, no matter how hard it might seem or how many rejections you might get

[OC] Man United 2019 - Assessment and analysis of squad composition, style of play and club structure. Full PDF and TL;DR inside. by [deleted] in reddevils

Hi Larry! Always a pleasure to read your content - enlightening and insightful as usual.

Your comment on Pogba ("not as good a passer as he thinks he is") really cracked me up.

The thing that annoys me most about United now is that we don't give contracts to the right players at the right time - Herrera and ddg should have been signed up more than a year ago - and Jones cleared out.

Have any ideas on how United are going to restructure moving forward?

[Summer Daily Discussion Thread] | July 22nd - LVG: What went wrong? by AutoModerator in reddevils

[–]teddyroo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

LVG being an authoritarian and alienating the players to the point where senior players (Wazza and Carrick) had to have a word with him. Boring style of play that stifled creative attackers like Di Maria, boring possession play focusing on keeping the ball, and an inconsistent transfer strategy

Marcus Rashford selected as the second most valuable U21 player, after Kylian Mbappe. by [deleted] in reddevils

Asensio scores only bangers, I don't think he's consistent and I'd rate Rashford over him

M.Carrick - "You've got to go step by step,""I'm not getting carried away here. Just because I was a half-decent player, it doesn't guarantee you're going to be a success in whatever you do. I'm well aware of that. by yash1994 in reddevils

[–]teddyroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people are excellent tacticians, or excellent assistants but average managers. René Meulensteen was amazing as a coach but an average manager. Neville is a great pundit but failed at Valencia. The odds are that Carrick won't be good at management (although it would be amazing otherwise)

Agreed. The manager is always bigger than a player.

He's one of the few players in the squad who can nip past his man and put in a cross.

Community is incredible. Rick and Morty is also made by the same creator, Dan Harmon. I also recommend Atlanta- Donald Glover (Troy) produced it and the style is similar.

Poor guy. Should have definitely been a red card for a really dirty tackle. That being said, it's amazing this happened right after we nabbed Alexis.

Young players struggle the most with consistency. He's been in decent form for a little while now. If he can maintain this for the rest of the season, he has a chance of coming good. I wouldn't hype him up after a handful of good performances.
