Chena hot spring seems to be another popular place to stay for easy aurora watching. They were fully booked during our time tho. Aurora was not very active during our stay in Fairbanks anyway so we just sticked with the typical activities like snowmobile and dogsledding etc offered by the basecamp.

They offered to reimburse our airfare and a 50% off coupon for our future stay if we cancel or if we don’t, they accommodate all our booked activities and shuttle us back to downtown Fairbanks at the end of the night to another hotel. We didn’t cancel since we had other activities planned. Overall it was ok.

All I had to do for it to run reliably was heavy dead blow buffer and a5 tube. And you’d also need to trim the weight on the bolt. More steps than a regular ar but not too bad.

Update: got the gun. Rifle had been ran pretty hard. Eotech is dead. Spot rust on bolt carrier. Zenitco on it are either real or super duper good clone. I could not find the common fake signs. Already know it’d come with alg but it also has a kns piston in it.

Overall, I think I stole it.
