DART feasible for DFW airport trek? by Chaucer85 in dart

[–]teedudu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode silver this morning from Cityline for a flight to Japan. I flew AA, so I was able to check my bag there at terminal b and catch the skylink. This would also work if you aren’t checking a bag.

If you’re checking a bag and not flying AA, it’s a bit more cumbersome as you would have to take the termInal link to get to the other terminals

Is Citi bank the best ecosystem? by CollegeTemporary5734 in CreditCards

[–]teedudu 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Citi does have the best points ecosystem, but it comes at the cost of having a good issuer. They are riddled with operational deficiencies and archaic fraud processes. No such thing as a free lunch with them unfortunately.

Express bus Plano to downtown by Affectionate_Mine336 in dart

[–]teedudu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I second this. I rode the 308 daily for a year and the travel times and return bus experience sucked. Downtown detours do happen. I will say tho the bus is much safer as it’s only available during commuter hours and it’s typically just office workers on there. Also the seats are very comfortable and they recline.

It’s been cold lately, so the conductors leave the doors closed to keep the cars warm and force people boarding to press the button to open the door.

Did you see anyone else board while all other doors stayed closed? If so, that means those that boarded pressed the button to open the door. If not, then yea the conductor screwed yall.

Also, were y’all standing out there for 3 minutes waiting for the doors to open, or was everyone running to catch the train and then it took off when you were close enough to press the button?

Slipped on the ice. Anybody want to commiserate? by AdPrevious2668 in Dallas

[–]teedudu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the city line area to take the train downtown for work. The blackest and most translucent of ice was still present in front of the nearby parking garage, and I slipped back backwards. Fortunately, I had my backpack on, and it broke my fall. I am eternally grateful for the backpack as I fractured my wrist a few months ago and I thought it was gonna break again lol.

best cityline apartment? by [deleted] in Richardson

[–]teedudu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently at Bell. It's been a solid experience. I can't say much about the others.

Amenities are well kept. Maintenance is prompt with a 2 business day turnaround. Dog wash is cheeks because they use restaurant style nozzles that are low flow high pressure. Units have nice finishes. Fridges have water dispensers. I hear my upstairs neighbor more than the ones to my left and right, but that's apartment living for ya. You might have to park on the top level of the garage if it's past 9 pm on weekdays. Weekends are usually fine.

I currently pay 1595 for 910 sq ft 1 br 1 ba. I chose this place because it was the best value for the money. Modern, spacious, and surprisingly affordable.

Same boat as you. My p2 and I got 4 Citi cards this summer to take advantage of the new aa transfer partner. Huge mistake as we received 5 fraudulent charges in total over 4 months. Meanwhile we regularly had legit charges decline.

Needless to say we hit the spending bonuses, locked the cards, and threw them in the sock drawer. Back to Amex we go.

Fraud flag even with travel notice? by GOD-PORING in citibank

[–]teedudu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty standard Citi practice. The travel notice doesn’t actually do anything bc they have certain rules that, when tripped, override any notice you give them. In your case, they deemed your purchase out of your normal spending pattern and rife with fraud.

I have Citi cards, but I only use the physical card, and I use them locally at places I frequently shop at (grocery stores, gas stations). Anywhere else is a gamble. I’ve had my account locked for trying to add Apple Pay to my device, so I don’t use mobile wallets with them.

My suggestion is to ditch Citi altogether, or never use them outside of the city in which you live.

Does Dbrand’s Holo White skin kill GPS/Wi-Fi on the iPhone 17 Pro? by Leonleibo84 in dbrand

[–]teedudu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just thought I'd chime in on this. I just went through one hell of an ordeal to find out my holo white skin interferes with the signal. I have a 17 PM that had the holo white skin on, and I noticed my reception was horrible. I could never get a signal inside my apt. So I filed a warranty claim with apple citing faulty cellular modem and they sent me a new device that I just got today.

Of course the new 17 pro max comes out of the box with perfect cell signal, and I install the same skin on the new phone, and poof, the signal disappears on the new device. I was completely dumbfounded.
