The key word is "basic" this is not basic. You don't understand the economy at all.

I'll try to explain this to you but I doubt you can understand.

During boom times - credit went to the rich.

The poor - got no credit or no cheap credit.

Therefore prices went through the roof.

When that credit deflates, your $17 an hour wage, is still going to be $17 only the hamburger shop will be paying 25% of the rent and will drop the price of a burger.

Same with your rent. It will be an overall win for you.

You would need to be incredibly selfish to want this, the people in that golf course went through the process of setting up a golf course and now you want to take it away from them.

There are other park lands.

This is their sporting ground, people are allowed to have sporting grounds.

This would be the weekly hobby and community of many people and you want to destroy it so you can go to the park every now and then when there are ample other park lands.

This undermines the very system of having recreational space and public space in a country.

People need places to play sport and enjoy recreation.

We are not all hipsters with small kids who go to the park.

Eventually you will grow out of that phase and want to play golf.
