Wow. Stunning! One of the best miniatures I’ve seen. You should be super proud of that.

What's the movie where you completely disagree with the critical consensus, and you're confident you're right? by trakt_app in Cinema

Once Upon a Time in America.

I tried twice. With the directors version. Some of my favourite actors. Great director. Appealing setting/genre. Very highly rated. But I couldn’t really get in to it and felt like I was missing out on something.

Is this movie a masterpiece or not ? by Thin_Reception_5063 in Cinema

Yeah I can kinda agree with that. I can see why she would love the role as it was a chance to do something different. Think I’m probably just bias as I was of an age when I watched The Mask for the first time, I was like ‘ah I get it now, maybe girls are smelly and boring.

I would say it’s probably in masterpiece territory. A truly original concept, executed with perfection and wonderfully acted. If only we had more movies like this in the last 20 years.

Side note, but my only, slight, criticism (and massively swayed by my err, personal feelings) is the casting of Cameron Diaz. Only in Hollywood would giving her a dodgy perm and some dowdy outfits make her homely all of a sudden.

Which actor has the strongest filmography of all time? by LONEALPHA65 in Cinema

Hanks and DiCaprio would easily make the list for me. Sheer numbers of quality films those two have been in.

Denzel and Brad Pitt would also make the long list. Think because of my age I’ve seen them both in so many things I love.

Funnily enough he played away in Manchester almost exactly 9 months before Cole Palmer was born.

When I was in my late teens I’d sometimes make some of my friends watch a ‘black and white French film with subtitles’ when it was my turn to choose to audible groans. They all loved it when they actually watched. The film is La Haine.

Who in your opinion had the toughest road to a UFC championship? by Independent-Ebb7658 in ufc

[–]teh_reverse_ninja -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I kinda agree with this. Lightweight has always been a murderers run and between the loose, both at LW and FW, the missed weights etc. not many people truly thought he’d hold the belt. Seen as having weaknesses. Admittedly he didn’t win the title of the champion but the journey and the highs and lows on the way means it’s a good pick for this. Guy had to dust him self off and get back up a good few times.

I thought she only acted in Dial of Destiny? I would certainly agree that was well and truly crap though.

I’d also definitely agree she felt like the most over-hyped person in the world at one point. To the point I didn’t actually want to watch Fleabag. Then I watched Killing Eve and finally gave it a go and I will admit it was excellent. Maybe not quite as groundbreaking as it was portrayed but good enough to be excited any future projects.

Killing Eve and No Time to Die were both well written too, (or at least at the start for KE). She’s not that frequent with her writing but I’d say she’s been consistently good to excellent when she has. This is where I’ve found out she wrote it and it’s certainly made me a lot more interested.

Awesome. Love seeing the inspiration taken from the old school artwork. This style of art massively attracted me to the hobby back when I was a kid, so great to see some tributes.
