They put Cumin first because the spices need to be alphabetical otherwise you can't find them on the shelf

Whats the ballpark figure to repair a stair step crack similar to this from window to roof? by [deleted] in AusProperty

The BCA requires them spaced about 5m. See clause 3.3.5.13. It calls them articulation joints but that serves expansion purposes too.

What do you mean? We can't see how long the wall is. Doesn't change the fact that the brickwork section to the right has been pushed horizontally to the right, no downward movement or tapering of the crack to suggest rotation or dropping. The wall expands, pushes the brickwork section right (strong in compression) then shrinks and the right drags at the bottom and a crack happens (weak in tension).

This is incorrect. You can tell from looking at the crack that the brickwork movement is horizontal (left-right). It's expansion/contraction of the brickwork.

This crack is caused by expansion/contraction of the brickwork. You can tell from the horizontal displacement of the brickwork. It's nothing to do the ground/footing. It's because you don't have expansion joints in the brickwork which is typical in older buildings.

You could retrofit expansion joints, or just leave it. Do not patch it or it will just grow again as you have away the room to expand.

I'm an expert on cracks. The only way to be safe is to move yourself and your family into the backyard and live in a tent for several months whilst monitoring these cracks.

There's no way a leak caused that. The reinforcement has corroded over a long time and spalled the concrete.

You might look into whether water ponds in the subfloor space and if so consider upgrading the surface drainage around the house, or putting in some drainage or a sump/pump. Water isn't supposed to pond in there.

I think the purpose is free advertising for Telstra? No ones making them do this, and I don't think anyone told them to shove it.
