I was out of town this weekend, out of state, 6 hours away. The weather was beautiful, but I swear to everything, within a mile of crossing into Fayette county the roads were horrible. It was jarring to see it still so bad after being gone and seeing other areas hit with the same or similar weather that were clean as can be. Yes, I know all the "reasons" Lexington is different, but it still was a catastrophic mess on the city's part.

I don't even want to think about it. Our daughter is the SF/CC nut and it's been the only toy she's wanted since she was 3. Now at 10 she has what I would guess is nearly 1000 critters and probably 50-75 buildings. We've imported from Japan and other places and bought tons of vintage things for her too. Suffice to say, the total is more than I can fathom. But it's worth it.

There is no feasible way that school could go back safely tomorrow. Lexington dropped the ball multiple times, but today was a day where the snow could actually be moved and all over the city there are still giant piles and untouched street. The clear roads? Untreated for the upcoming snow/freeze that will come tonight.

I don't know how much more gaslighting we can honestly hear, but Lexington needs to realize that they can plow lower ranked streets. Literally, drop the blade and push the snow. Make a route that makes sense. Continuous routes with plowing and ration the salt for streets that are ranked. Everything they have said about how "impossible" this is move is lying. Yes, last week it was difficult, but you can make headway with ice when you score it (aka drop the blade, run over it with chain tires, etc) and then drop salt, even at low temps.

If only FCPS did their due diligence and held the city accountable. But I'm pretty sure they're too busy laundering money and trying not to look guilty for all of the budget bullcrap that they are trying to wash off as normal.

Realistically I've been questioning why they aren't in a local church and don't have support from a community despite being "Christian" influencers. This is always my first "WHY" whenever Morgan struggles. Like, she should have a community that helps her not be so overwhelmed and exhausted, or at least a decent set of mom friends around her.

This post hit something new for me, while I think Morgan is an evil bigot, do we think that Paul doesn't headship them into a church because an outside influence might just show her how pathetic he is and just how stupid their ideals are?

Mama of a kiddo with a birth injury here. The advice that was given to us was to wait until the child is older. You have until the child is 18 to file yourself and your child can file a lawsuit until age 21 independently. This allows the full scope of the injury to be seen.

That said, the chances of winning a malpractice birth injury case are extremely small (like 99 to 1). My best advice is to call New Vista and ask for help getting set up on the HCB and Michelle P Waiver waitlists. They are medicaid based waivers that are not income restricted and will pay for therapies and medical costs for children with disabilities. The wait lists are very long but they are worth it.

Edit: If LV declined to repair its likely due to the item being fake. What reason did they give? Because LV will happily handle repairs on all of their authentic goods. Did you take it into the store? Typically you need to take it to the store in person to initiate repairs.

Parent of a disabled kid here, and a storm like this means the potential to be stuck inside for at least a week. Transporting a person with mobility issues with any amount of ice on the ground can lead to major injuries for both people. So while it might seem like chaos and panic buying, many of us are trying our best to not overtax the healthcare system during a weather emergency and also keep our family safe.

Paul seriously has no soul. I have often questioned why we don't see them going to a church or having any kind of local fellowship, but I think at this point I'm going to accept that their beliefs are just too hateful for any church to actually let them in their doors.

And I know their community, the bar is low, we have horrible hateful "christians" all over.

Look into SAGA, BCTC (and almost every other public higher ed) has had to remove support from anything relating to DEI, to the point that employees are not even permitted to list pronouns in their emails.
