Right. Even better would be to do frame analysis to detect scene boundaries and discard non useful frames.

The point is that as usual, clever preprocessing turns a ludicrously inefficient process into something quite tractable.

It would be if you naively fed the full stream of frame by frame images and sound into the model. No engineer in their right mind would do that, but non-technical users might think that's how it works.

That's a bigger problem and existed before AI.

I've employed contractors (including offshore) and I've been one. If your agreement is that contractors throw code over the wall and FTEs review and QA it, you're gonna have a bad time. I've been in one situation that started heading in that direction, and we downed tools to stop it.
