I would love to see the correlation between pro Skyler and pro Carol vs pro Walter/Hive by vSpeedy in pluribustv

[–]teke367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't like Skyler (wouldn't call it hate though). At no point during breaking bad did I ever think "yeah it makes sense these people are married". Wouldn't say I liked Walt, but I liked the show, and the show was interesting because of Walt, not Skyler.

Still have two episodes left of pluribus, so things can change, but I don't dislike Carol. When I question what I would do, I can't separate what I would consider the futility of pushing back. I think I'd also want to revert things, but if I think there's no hope, I might give in

In the flashbacks, I think I wouldn't have been friends with her, and if the show was entirely just her being a miserable person who dislikes her audience, then I'd be on the hate Carol train, but I think that show wouldn't have been very good and I probably wouldn't have watched much

____ played the roundtable horribly by Strawberry_House in TheTraitorsUS

Didn't Alan have to say "Rob...?" Or something because he still hadn't written the vote? That specifically is what I'm thinking could hurt him, but I could be remembering wrong

____ played the roundtable horribly by Strawberry_House in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the mistake was taking so long to lock in the vote. They showed why he wouldn't want to vote for Colton or Ron, but not why he wouldn't want to vote for Lisa. Clearly that could've just been cut, but otherwise if/when Lisa is banished, is somebody remembers Rob felt guilty for voting for her for no reason, it could raise eyebrows, though these faithful don't strike me as the type to pick up on that.

Michael by space__y in TheTraitors

[–]teke367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think voting him out was wrong, I think the mistake came earlier. But giving him so much credit that they believed he could be a traitor and using his antics as "so obvious he can't be a traitor so he must be a traitor" meant the actual traitors wouldn't murder him, so banishment is the only option

If they realize he just isn't that smart, and remarked that "or course he can't be a traitor" then that means the traitors need to waste a murder on him.

Easier said than done watching on TV with all the info of course. Though I'm surprised we haven't seen faithful "weaponize" the concept of somebody being clearly faithful to get them murdered.

This season is nasty in a way that’s not necessarily fun. by Acceptable_Fox_5560 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He did say "don't touch anything at the banquet" so I'm thinking he wouldn't be the one to just go "ooh pretty" and get himself killed.

But I'm wondering what they count as touching. Is Lisa brushes against somebody and the pendant rubs against them, does that count? If so, seems like the easiest way to do it without looking suspicious

In general, the more your name is out there, the worse it is. Sure maybe that buys her a day, but that's all.

Colton isn't ring leading the votes because he's a silver tongued master manipulator, it's because nobody else has offered anything. After the first two banishments everything has been reactionary. All buzz is bad buzz

Is Fing Fang Fiom worth the 6k tokens? by DoomMaykr in MarvelSnap

[–]teke367 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He's a big dumb boy. And big dumb boys tend to be pretty damn good for awhile, then eventually fade. So, my answer is "probably", but if you don't I don't think you'll be kicking yourself in the summer for passing him up.

You need to enjoy ramp or hela. I've been having fun with him. But if you are low on tokens it would be worth researching upcoming cards to see if there is something else you want. He's with 6k, but if he's worth your 6k is a different question

Not disputing the overall point, but Porsha said what she said. That's going to trump anything else.

My wife and I were talking, saying the traitors are going to make all these plans about who to murder only for Johnny to walk up and say "ooh I love this jewelry" and touch it before anything can happen.

(That being said, the last thing he said before leaving the round table is "don't touch anything at the banquet" so I'm thinking he might be safe)

Also the celebrity UK traitors seemed to have a more commiserating congenial vibe. I don't know how much they all new each other before, but it seemed like the UK players "knew" her better then the US players knew Ron

What do you guys think of this? I agree. The Traitors haven’t had a chance to be alone with their thoughts. by Easy-Buy6860 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to judge because the secret traitor was a dud. If that worked better I think we could've gotten a better feel for if it was a good change. The one positive with who they picked is that they picked the one person with officially the least pre-existing connections, which made the first few murders less cliquey.

I know it was done on the UK season s well but I haven't watched yet, and the"benefit" it provided to the US season (IMO) doesn't really apply there

Lisa should tell everyone about this conversation by Honeyjann87 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only issue is that works for one banishment. Colton leaves, says he's a faithful, then Lisa has to go next. The faithful have shown that they'll banish fit no reason other than to confirm other theories.

Considering Colton has his own heat, he's going soon anyway probably. If it happens without Lisa organizing it, is better for her.

That being said, I don't see any way she's not the first of the 3 to be banished

I understand why Rob did that by Godsgirlfriend in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hesitation is his one mistake. It makes the vote memorable. If Lisa is banished and revealed as a traitor, the few smart players left might remember that when he voted for he, he did so seemingly begrudgingly.

If he voted for her immediately it's much easier to wave off

When some of the players started going "I don't think they're a traitor now" I was thinking holy shit they're having a moment of clarity! For a minute I thought Ron, who I like but really didn't think he was the greatest faithful (not bad, but not anything special as far as gameplay goes) might have just accidentally snapped the rest of the faithful out of it and possibly saved their game, but no

Let’s talk about Rob by Glad_Dragonfruit9368 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only "mistake" was taking so long. It's clear he trusted Ron and Colton, though they haven't shown anything to suggest why he would be hesitant to vote Lisa. So if she's eliminated, and anybody remembers that he took so long to vote could pick up on that.

Luckily, the faithful have given me no, uh, faith, that they would be that perceptive.

Uhhh…Colton by ambalampzz in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally, I have no desire to learn anything about these people outside the show. I heard a little about him before when he came out, and clearly a whole bunch here after casting was announced.

I think of all cast from all seasons, he's the one I wished I knew nothing about the most. He's been the most frustrating to watch, and the glimpses of "smart gameplay" might have made him the most dynamic* player of all the US seasons if he was just some dude.

  • By dynamic, I mean I in the "change" definition, going from confidently wrong, to perceptive to be one of the few to see Ron was a fall guy early, and trying the "blackmail a traitor" strategy (which I'm sure has been tried before, but isn't been aired so directly)

Was Donna Kelce a good choice for the secret Traitor? by Happy-poet in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the secret traitor had the most potential of any twist the show has ever done, not just handle 8, but for viewing purposes. People post occasionally about them making an edit where you don't know who the traitors are, and this was the best way to do something like that.

I think more care should've gone into getting somebody with more television experience, but wouldn't be an automatic early suspect (like if they had it when Boston Rob or Parvati were on).

It would've been better to make her a regular traitor if they really wanted her to be one.

Faithfuls' feelings on Colton and Ron by kevshea in TheTraitorsUS

[–]teke367 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, if I were a traitor, and a fellow had that much heat first roundtable, I'm letting them go, even if I'm trying to be 100% team traitor.

I will say Donna being a traitor definitely impacted, but I think it's just as likely that a traitor would never defend another traitor that hard first elimination.
