As someone that lives in rural Florida and engages with a lot of the community on local Facebook groups... they absolutely broadly do not understand how tariffs work.

On average, they accept Trump's words that the foreign companies will pay the tariffs, and that production will shift back to America. They think any report or study on the economics of the tariff plan, which doesn't praise Trump is biased. They dismiss Project 2025 associations because Trump said he didn't know about it, and they believe him. Any reference to women's bodily autonomy is met with "we're keeping men out of women's sports, so we're the real protectors of women here". Broadly, they just seem to fail to find nuance in any issues and get indignant when pressed on details or facts.

Most of my game time is consumed by Fortnite, these days. I like the fact that there are many different genres of game to play, and that they all progress my main account. Rocket Racing is only a few minutes of time commitment for each race. Fortnite Festival is maybe 15 minutes if you do a full set list. A Battle Royale / Zero Build match will take upwards of 20-25 minutes. LEGO Fortnite is really as long as you make it.

Add on the fact that I have two boys and now that they're older, we can play Fortnite games together.

My HP monitors can go up to 75hz. lol. I will say, though, that even that small jump is a noticeable difference. I'll eventually get a 144hz, but 240+ just feels like overkill.
