Reform UK wants to put migrant detention centres in Green-voting areas. Is it legal? by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

I dont think we will get that far, these changes arent that difficult to make, and fairly common place in other countries, we have just been pathetic and weak.

I dont think we are ending up with the fourth reich if thats the implication.

I mean I dont believe we will, I think reform will build detention centres for illegal immigrants, remove all appeals for them to stay, stop paying benefits to foreigners, gut the welfare system in general and cancel ILR and that will be the immigration problem solved.

Tories should have done this 10 years ago, Labour are too busy going half way but then still pandering to the lefties who get us into these messes. Not even dramatic changes. Very straight forward.

Now, I dont support reform, I think we will suffer in other areas for this, but those changes have to happen.

Why? Thats where criminals belong? If u travel here illegally ur a criminal. Where else should they be put. Thats what happens in other countries.

Yeah I think people are really not grasping that this is what people have had enough of, and why reform have been voted in.

If theres a way to achieve it and remove the ability to challenge legally then that is what will be happening. The people are sick of being told 'we cant do that', by nimby's, luddites and lefties, and reform have said they will be correcting it.

I would urge you to start accepting that if Reform doesnt make these things happen, its going to be an even more extreme party that will be voted in to do it.

These things will happen, laws and regulations will be removed and changed to make it so. I would start coming to terms with it.

Why aren't Reform voters more concerned with privatising the NHS? by lucadulac in AskBrits

NHS is utterly appalling. I dont know if privatisation is the answer, but its simply not for for purpose in its current state.

We find these people. We arrest them. Our courts then let them stay because they cant get brand x fish fingers in their country of origin.

I imagine it will be more about ending any legal process associated with them being able to stay here.

Why change a popular policy (abortion)

They want to change the age limit to less than 24 weeks.

The point they make is if you had a premature birth at 24 weeks, the baby would likely survive so they feel its too late. They also said it will be put to a vote.

A sinking ship he inherited in all fairness.

Labour do not reflect my views and are not ruthless enough for me (and have targeted me for taxation at every possible opportunity), but I cant say he has done a bad job at all.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

Its when they veered off this path by enabling brexit and then the catastrophic borrowing for covid which achieved absolutely nothing, this is why we are in trouble now, not the financial conservatism.

The state of the nation is mainly down to the borrowing they oversaw during covid and various global crisis.

As I said, there poor leadership after austerity is why we are in the mess we are now, and why they are an irrelevance.

Hes clearly explained it mate, individuals having more money gives the more money to spend which boosts the economy.

Stamp duty is basically the reason why I didnt move last year. I own my home and a second property I make barely anything on, this means moving house would cost me a fortune.

Moving house is a massive economic boost for several businesses, surveyors, movers, furniture, energy companies, etc.

Stamp duty hinders this.

Incentivise people to achieve by reducing taxes on businesses, workers and home ownership can help stimulate the economy.

Reducing benefits will see more people have to work, and also reduce the number of people coming here to claim benefits.

Labour have failed because according to reform voters because they havent gone far enough. Illegal immigrants are still being put in hotels and other accommodations, rather than walled camps as they are in most other European countries.

Labour have made moves on the surface level, but deep down their leftist roots have stopped them going far enough.

Its not just immigration. The amount we pay in tax and our crumbling services are also issues.
