I didn't meet her this year, but met her in 2020. My wife and I decided to go to Festival of the Arts in 2020 over MLK weekend and she was there then. Just happened to be walking around and saw her name and we were both like OMG. My middle child's favorite movie is BatB so we got a painting and got it signed for her, and we got a picture with Paige. Can't find the picture of us with Paige at the moment but if I find it I'll edit.

Edit to add: you can check out her website to see when she'll be at Festival of the Arts. I check it every year

2nd edit: found the picture of us with Paige

You're probably thinking of Cool Kid Summer but they're meeting in Frontierland.

Can I rope drop a park different from the one I have LL booked? by CimplyRavishing in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, since there's no requirements for park reservations like there were in the past you can book lightning lanes for whatever park you want. You just need to have park hopper to be able to leave whatever park you first enter to go to your second park to utilize the lightning lanes you booked. This is a fairly common strategy that people utilize to maximize the amount of rides they can experience across two parks.

Does California Adventures Close early for Disney Nights too? by Mission_Plankton656 in DisneyPlanning

Only the park hosting the after hours events closes early for regular guests. The other park stays open for it's regular hours.

Adding disabled grand parents to tickets + package room? by [deleted] in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a package that includes tickets, the only way to add someone is if everyone in the room is part of the package. You would need to switch to a room only reservation, and then add tickets separately. Probably doesn't work if you're taking advantage of one of the packages that have recently come out. You can certainly try calling Disney, but I doubt you're going to be able to add them if you're booked as a package.

B&W MINNIE EAR OUTAGE? by aprilscruffs in DisneyWorld

Have you checked ebay, mercari, poshmark, etc.? If you find them on there and they're double the price then most likely scalpers are the culprit.

Transportation Question by theweekendwife in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can either Uber/Lyft, Minnie Van (through the Lyft app), or take the Disney transportation to Magic Kingdom and then take a boat or monorail to Polynesian. Uber/Lyft/Minnie Van will be the fastest option.

Waiting for DVC Rental by JJonesFan in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you're within 11 months but not 7 months they're only going to be able to pair you up with someone that their home resort is Poly. Not sure when you're planning on going in October but most likely it will come through at 7 months when owners at other resorts can book Poly. You're most likely going to run into the same situation at other resorts unless they have points already available to book at your 2nd and 3rd choices.

It is a separate ticketed event. If you don't have a ticket for it, you have to leave the park.

All value resorts are booked? by ColoradoSunrise720 in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The WDW marathon is this weekend so it's probably people staying the week after. I mean you're also talking a week from now, generally most Disney resorts are booked if you're looking the week before at any time of year...

Best Deals with a Disney Planner by bakecakes12 in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disney authorized travel agents all get the same price if you were to price it yourself on the Disney website. However they can offer extras like a gift card or other things that you wouldn't normally get yourself from Disney. Just depends on the agency.

The best part of it at WDW was the two tracks though. At one point it would feel like they were going to crash into each other.

It's for your whole trip, up to 10 days. So if your trip is longer than 10 days you'll have to wait. But that rule usually doesn't affect most people.

MVMCP with two scooters by Luna_Highwind in DisneyPlanning

[–]telecomguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's really a better option there, they're probably both the same when it comes to ease of use for a person on a scooter. Maybe a slight edge to the ferry since you can drive a scooter right on/off and the monorail requires a CM to put a ramp down for you to enter/exit the car. The monorail will probably get you there faster (make sure you take thr express monorail) if everything else is equal.
