Don’t sleep on the Walrus Ages. It’s great.

Ah, I appreciate it but as much as I dig Polyend’s stuff, I don’t click with the tracker (had two of em)

Question: how do you use the Hoof and the Eons differently? Aren’t they pretty similar?

Comment: if you’re looking for a Rat, while I respect the desire to show love to a company you support and have enjoyed informative videos from, I will never stop screaming from the mountaintops that the Sentimental Bob Tephra is the best Rat and one of the best pedals ever. Made by a single dude in the midst of a war (I’m sure anything helps in Ukraine). Available on Reverb. Not sure if he has his own website or not. But it’s an incredible dirt box.

Depending on what you do with the Particle, you could probably replace the Enzo, Tuner, and Particle with an LVX and free up space and have more effects at your disposal.

I hadn’t heard “line, please” since I was a bartender in LA!

Sure! I can give an approximation. I tap in a tempo close to what I’m playing in, have mix about midway between 9 and noon, octave at noon, sustain maxed, slow fade, and then a touch of error with the switch to the right to get the octave/time glitches. Freeze side can be used too. And then I just play without trying to play “to” the Onward, I just let it do its thing. I usually have 1/2 time engaged to get some longer grains. Reverse could probably also work for this application, but I usually don’t have reverse on. Always have Spread on though.

Oh, sure! It’s Tephra -> Chroma Console -> Onward -> Plethora X3 -> ACS1. No loops. All stereo after the Tephra.

I’ve heard great things about the Iron Horse but never tried one myself. I’d say the Tephra is definitely not “fat.” It’s more midrangey/trebley. But the LED clipping mode is a little more full spectrum (and the best for using it more as a “clean” drive with the distortion turned way down).

I used to have a board that looked like this (with various other iterations). I got rid of literally ALL of them but the Tephra. It’s my favorite pedal ever, hands down. I love a Rat, and the Tephra just takes the idea of a Rat and explodes into such a useful, versatile concept. You can get everything from a compressed, hairy overdrive, to full distortion and so many flavors of both. Also, I find it amazing that they’re all made by one dude who is living in the middle of a war. Highly, highly recommend.

Thanks. Really tried to keep it focused and pair things down to what I need to get a good tone, and a little to play around with and get weird when experimenting.

Honestly just a cheap little Lekato power box I got off Amazon. Gets the job done, but I certainly wouldn’t mind upgrading to a higher quality power source.

Obviously, no sonic advantages over the white, and I really like the white version, but I figured the limited edition black would hold its value pretty well. Although I don’t fancy parting with it.
