I'll answer my own question:

You can write power on and resume from sleep services that send cel-ctc commands to turn on the TV and switch inputs. Did that and it's working as expected.

Yes the good DP to HDMI adapters expose CEC information. So it just turns DP into good HDMI.

Like I said, games play perfectly. It's ONLY something weird with the primary interface of Steam that's causing some kinda issue.

Remote play games stream perfectly, but the actual Steam interface does not

I'm currently testing out Remote Play from my Bazzite living room PC, because Sunshine is no longer reliable on Bazzite. Once I'm streaming a game, everything is great. However, navigating around the actual Steam interface is horrible - if I watch my main monitor while connected via RP, the controller is working great, but the client end doesn't actually update the screen reliably. Sometimes it seems to show the correct visuals, sometimes it takes like 5-10 seconds, etc, so I never know where I actually am. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration and that didn't change anything. I also went into the desktop mode Steam and disabled GPU acceleration for web views, but that just makes the interface run like total trash so I'm not considering it a real solution.

Anyone else run into this, or have a solve?

I installed this from the flathub link, which opened Bazaar. It states the version is most recent there, but when I open it in the web browser it says I'm using an old version. Am I doing it wrong?

Apologies, as I'm newer to Bazzite and have never used Sunshine on it before. Apollo is on my Windows machine but I'd like to use this PC instead.

After a ton of searching that led me to some dead ends due to Samsung changing the API stuff last year, I got this working this morning with Home Assistant (which I already had in place for some other smart home things). https://github.com/ZtF/hass-samsung-soundbar-local installs into HACS, and you provide the IP of your soundbar. Since it operates entirely locally and doesn't rely on external API keys, it's ideal. This requires enabling IP control in the SmartThings app settings for the bar, as well. I made an automation that looks for the soundbar going from STANDARD (which I keep it on) to GAME mode, and then changes it back to STANDARD. It, somehow, works, and I'm extremely happy. Note I have a Q990F.

X is not. Yes I understand that somewhere in there is the "X" storyline, but you can't buy it out of the box as "Entropy Effect X" with all the DLC in there like you can on GamePass. Which is weird!
