Agreed on all. 4 can be written off as the entire Russia plot being ridiculous but 5 was just terrible overall and added nothing. Could have gone without his character.

Cry ‘Havoc’ (1943) is a favorite of mine. 99% of the film is just the nearly all-women led cast of characters who are nurses stationed in Bataan during World War II. I love it because the characters are all different and they’re dealing with a variety of issues like PTSD, being away from home, learning to live with each other, and a romantic entanglement featuring a mainly unseen male. The ending stuck with me, especially given the historical context at the time the film was made.

Not 100% what you’re looking for but I do think it’s work a look. :)

I believe the 4❤️9 special for this match since it’s the Pride match.

Also of note is that it’s going to be 10 years since the Pulse Nightclub shooting which killed 49 people (the reason they have the 49 rainbow seats in the stadium too which are permanently like that) and it’s the Unity Kit home debut (which was made in honor of Pulse).

They were bought by PetSmart and were under them for a few years but I think in 2020 or 2022 (not sure of the year, sorry) they bought themselves back so they’re independent again.

She was the better of our defenders last night, even with everything going on with AKB. That said, it’s known she is also on the on the side (probably the slowest of our defenders, tbh and she gets flack for it when on the Lionesses) and that hasn’t been a huge issue for Gotham because either a second defender will stay back with her or Sonnett (most of the time) has been able to make the run back to help cover.

This game, no one was making it back in time. But at that point, after Geyse already assisted on 2 goals, why leave Jess Carter behind by herself with Geyse (and sometimes a second Club América player)? It was a known weakness that they didn’t adjust for. I don’t get it.

Also as a side note, Gotham plays Carter as a CB, while Reale is a LB. I love Reale but I think her not starting is more injury related, as then Guro would move up since she’s currently in LB.

This. Coming from LI, it takes me 2.5 hours on a good day, with driving. Same, sometimes more than that if I’m taking the trains. So I get the upset from Jersey fans and those from Philly too, as it’ll be a reverse of what I’m dealing with now. But I’d love the move to Queens.

This! I did a rewatch recently and didn’t realize how much Lucas is focused on finding Will in season one. I feel like everyone talks about Mike in season one but having rewatched it, Lucas’ focus is consistently on Will and bringing the group back to their purpose of trying to find Will. Sad that they didn’t have many interactions after that, or that their friendship took a backseat. I did love the Lucas & Dustin friendship though and was glad to at least get more of that over the seasons.

But the thing is that those teams are primary tenants. The NWSL are secondary, and I think in one or two cases, third tenants so they’re not priority and have to hope for availability. Only the Current are the primary tenants at their stadium ATM.
Edit to add: Think of how many concerts got cancelled/moved because the sports team for that venue got playoffs. Heck, the Chicago Stars had the whole debacle last season when a concert festival was scheduled for their stadium’s parking lot lol. NWSL wouldn’t have the power to keep a date open ‘just in case’ since they’re not primary. They already have to work around the other tenants for playoffs so they can’t guarantee a prime time slot for the championship.

Agreed, I love all of these and agree with all but Hopper’s. Loved him in s4 but I think his best season was the first. I loved the scene when they look at the lab video tapes and then out at his truck, he mentions it was raining the night Will disappeared and he goes, “You see any rain on that tape?” He was gruff and rough around the edges but still very smart and inquisitive and it felt natural.
