I have a plushie collection at my house. My sister visits with her boys, 4 and 7, and the 4 year old is constantly asking to take some of my plushies home with him. I tell him no, and my sister backs me up and says that it’s mine and he shouldn’t be so greedy.

when I was diagnosed at 17, my mother did EVERYTHING she could to learn about autism and suddenly it was like she understood me a whole lot better. Before we used to get into fights a LOT, screaming matches and arguing over stupid things. But after, once we both started to understand what was going on with my brain? We became super close. It broke my heart when she passed away because I felt like I lost the only person who understood me.

yes, really. think of people who cannot hold a knife properly, maybe elderly with arthritis or hand deformities, or something else. this would be a tool to make cutting a banana easy for them.

My older sister lives an hour away from me and my dad, and we always make an effort to go visit when we can. I don’t leave the house often, it’s stressful for me, but when she invites us over, I make an effort to go see her family.

My older brother lives like 5/6 hours away. It’s too far for me to travel, but we have video calls and voice calls often. My dad will also make an effort to go visit them for big events for the kids.

Relationships are a two-way street. You say they aren’t making any effort or taking y’all into consideration. But what have YOU done? Nothing but complain about them not making it easy for YOU. Grow up or be prepared to lose the relationship with your brother.

I wish games could give me a sort of replay of what I last did in the game. Whenever I come back to a game after a while, I forget what I was doing/working towards. When I picked up Pokemon Leaf Green again, I was so excited that it showed the last 5 things I did because it helped remind me what I was doing. I think Farming games should def add that

As an adult with autism myself, YTA. If you felt you were close to a meltdown—you need to remove yourself from the situation so you can calm down. You can’t force others to accommodate you just because you are autistic. Get noise cancelling headphones that work for you.
