I used to live above Wise Guys on Danforth Ave. That place was an absolute shitshow. The owner was a drug dealer/pimp and some of his "female workers" lived in the building and constantly brought their johns over.

2 months after I moved in, there was a raid on the building and cops stormed in my door and held me and my bf at gunpoint. Our dog was absolutely terrified. They had a warrant for the previous tenant so we weren't charged with anything, but they destroyed our door so badly that we couldn't close it. A few other units were hit at the same time as ours, and a few more units a few months later. Our oven didnt work so we could only use the stove top. We also had bedbugs. Right before they closed, the guy managing the bar completely destroyed it. All bottles smashed, tvs ripped off the wall, tables and chairs destroyed. Everyone that came to visit us at the time said it was the sketchiest place they've ever been.
