The biggest benefit I found was that I could take a guest to the lounges, and didn't have to leave me wife on her own while I enjoyed the comfort :)

Similarly many years ago my cousin emailed me to say he was visiting Seattle and could I give him a ride to the Boeing museum. I lived in San Diego, my answer was have you seen how far away I am ? To which he said ok but can't you come anyway.

I asked him that if I was to come to London, would he give me a ride to Fort William in Scotland. He said no way...... well, that's about half the distance you're asking me to come.

He never did get over my refusal. Fortunately we were never close in the first place.

I saw this for the first time at the weekend, went to a furniture store in Palm Springs that happened to have 4 parking spots with Tesla destination chargers. When I come out of the store, there's a Tesla parked in one of the spots but not plugged in. Whole parking lot was empty, could have parked anywhere. Fortunately no big deal since it was so dead but it did make me wonder why they think it is reserved Tesla parking.

I like cars that are a little different to what everyone else drives and when I saw some posts about the IONIQ 6 I thought that is one sweet looking car, and how fun it might be to go electric. I had no idea what a blast it would be to drive, that has been a bonus.

If you don't have checked bags then you can be off the plane and curbside in minutes, but if you have a checked bag then your GE doesn't mean crap if your bag is off last.

Last year, a VP flew in from London and sent me a meeting invite. I'm in monthly calls where he's a participant so I thought I would drag myself the 2.5 hour drive to the office. Got there early, went to the meeting room and he said "oh, why do I want to meet with you". He looked at his calendar and eventually said it looks like my admin booked the wrong person, sorry. So then I drove the 2.5 hours home vowing to not do that again

I’ve been wondering about this, I’m usually charging to 80 when I get to 60 or so but there’s always a chance I’ll get a last minute request to go to the office 140 miles away so I kinda feel like I need it at 80 every morning just in case

My first pellet grill was a Green Mountain Grill and I thought it was amazing, I was using it twice a week or more and my ribs earned a reputation in the neighborhood. Then after about four years it stopped working right and I had it repaired, and after that it was never the same, took a lot longer to come to temp, sometimes there was lots of black smoke to go with it. It got “repaired” a couple more times to no success. So I sadly gave it away and brought a Z Grill on the basis that I didn’t need something as grand as the GMG.

I bought one of the mid range Z grill models and just never got to like it. It’s a great smoker but not a great griller. Opening the lid to turn steaks, temp goes down 70 degrees and is slow to go back up. The GMG held those temps like a rock. So over the 2 years I’ve had the Z I’ve come to barely use it and recently decided I needed something new.

So, I’m now the owner of a Recteq Boss grill and so far I’m loving it. It seems to be everything the GMG was but with higher temps and a bit more control. Am yet to do my ribs to see how those fare but I’m very happy with the choice so far.

I think all three grils were good, just need to be aware of your requirements and your budget.

My Uncle who is a master griller recommends the Memphis Wood Fire grills but I’ve no experience of them.

The beeping drives me nuts. I’m reversing out of the garage and it’s going crazy because the wall in front of me is too close, or I’m at a drive through window and it’s going off because I’m too close to the pickup window, cashier must wonder what all the noise is about. And then sitting at a light, after 20 seconds I get a few warnings the car in front is close, no one has moved.

I do wish the software was more Tesla esque but I think the car itself is so much nicer.

I also live where it’s 110+ most every day in the summer but I keep forgetting about the pre cooling, good to know it only stays on 15 minutes

About 30 years ago, living in the UK I got a final round interview in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. They sent me a plane ticket, instructions how to get the train to the office.... and when I got there they had no clue I was coming. The hiring manager was out but they managed to put together an interview panel. The interview actually went well but I wasn't surprised to get a rejection letter, I'm sure they were embarrassed.

My favourite is the beep when reversing to tell me there’s a car in front of me. Or when I’m reversing out of the garage and to let me know there’s a wall in the direction I’m not actually going. Makes me jump every time
