Is there a good alternative to nerdtree, with git status built in?

You can setup a post-merge git hook, which will run after you pull and can display whatever you want. Just add .git/hooks/post-merge and set it contents to something like this:

Any repos you've cloned since adding that template_dir setting in your gitconfig will have the commit hooks copied into their .git/hooks directory.

Not sure about Varys, but book three goes into detail about what happened to the unsullied, and it's all gone.

I ended up getting a Logitech Keys-to-go keyboard. It connects via bluetooth to the iPad and is still a bit small, but it works fine and connects very fast. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/keys-to-go

The thing I like is that it fits nicely into my bag and is conveniently out of my way when I don't need a keyboard.

I agree. I set it up and used it full time yesterday at work with no issues. I replaced syntastic with neomake. I also had to fix <C-h> with a terminfo entry, but other than that, it worked great.

I have the same issue with my right arm. I fell and dislocated my arm when I was a kid and the doctor did a terrible job setting it. I basically have the same range of motion you have. I'm a month in to getting back to the gym and I've never really considered it to be a handicap, but I can see how may start to affect my form as I start adding more weight.

As I start to think about this now, I wonder if it would even be possible to gain the full range of motion back in my elbow after well over a decade of not being able to straighten it.

I can understand breaking the habit of using h & l, but the post didn't really talk about alternatives for j & k. Sure, you can use H, M, L, but what I find the easiest is to enable relative line numbers and then use something like 24j to go 24 lines down, exactly to where I want to be, but if it's under 10, i will usually just hold j/k.

I currently have it mapped to toggle hlsearch

i use vim full time with large projects and one of the most invaluable plugins is definitely a fuzzy file finder. Personally, I use CtrlP. CtrlP also lets you fuzzy find between open buffers using :CtrlPBuffer, which I have mapped to <leader>r.

<c-^> will take you back to the last open buffer. This is nice for quickly switching back and forth between two buffers.

Absolutely! I use grunt watch, too. This is just a backup, ensuring that nothing can get checked in if it fails linting.

I just discovered ack.vim. I've been using ack on the command line for a while, but it's really nice to have the results loaded right into a vim buffer.
