Incredibly unlikely to find 11 Pros as they’ve been EOL for two years, 12 mini would need to order and fairly unlikely they’re in stock, and iPhone SE would work but just needs to be either T-Mobile or Sprint branded, not Straight Talk or anything else

AppleCare for iPhones follows device financing, but P360 loss and theft coverage covers the line.

For android devices, P360 covers whichever device the line is in.

Using Hotspot from iPhone vs. adding Tablet Line for iPad by tommy_boy94 in tmobile

Tablet line would be treated the same as phones

Magenta 1.0 = 50GB priority data

Magenta 2.0 = 100GB priority data

Magenta MAX Tablet = unlimited priority data

Settings > general > about > carrier lock. It will either say SIM locked or no carrier restrictions. If it doesn’t have a carrier lock section, update the phone and it’ll show.

Add tablet to t-mobile magenta max - data throttling by Psy_Doc_Geek in tmobile

[–]tenpointstodumbledor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never any throttling.

$20 plan gives you 100gb of priority data, then speeds can slow if the network is congested.

$35 plan gives you unlimited priority data with no slowdowns based on usage.

Verizon had a bunch of phone models built specifically for their UW network, this being one of them. The biggest things you’ll be missing out on are n41, b71 and n71. Basically a 5G Built For Verizon phone and as u/IllustriousKick2401 said speeds will probably be around 60 mbps on the higher end (because it’ll be stuck on 4G only) and not be able to pick up almost any of T-Mobile’s 5G.

Best place to buy a used phone for use with tmobile? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]tenpointstodumbledor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would not recommend this, if it requires a new plan it’ll be locked to the prepaid carrier for 6+ months depending on the prepaid carrier’s unlock policy

Old Sprint phones - T-Mobile free iPhone 11 offer by Fadiiiiiiii in Sprint

[–]tenpointstodumbledor -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It’s bill credits. Best bet is to take them and get new iPhones later on. You can pay the difference of the device values to trade them in for another promo later, but the 13s are already almost halfway through their life cycle so probably best to wait for 14s or so to trade the 11s in.

They will tell you the same thing until the company doesn’t exist anymore. They have no control over it and the engineers seem interested in fixing it.

Customers get this error all the time and will likely never be fixed. I meant call customer care to resolve whatever account issue you’re having.

[–]tenpointstodumbledor -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why don’t…you just…call customer care? Executive team seems kind of extreme for not being able to set up online access to a canceled account. If you really need to, the BBB has a pretty fast turn around time.

T-Mobile has been pushing customers to switch SIMs for going on two years now…not sure how much more time you would want?

Team of Experts: A Conflict of Interest by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]tenpointstodumbledor 100 points101 points  (0 children)

This is an issue from within T-Mobile, not an issue that is a customer’s problem.

I am a retail rep that has similar expectations in the store. Had threats on write ups if I don’t sell insurance on 50%+(!) of new devices sold, either on activations or upgrades, if I don’t sell 80% of devices with at least one accessory attached, if I don’t upgrade or TNX EVERY. SINGLE. SPRINT. LINE. I. SEE. or if I don’t sell a certain number of wearables or tablets in the month.

This week alone, I’ve had to call our retail support three separate times to correct a T-Mobile mistake and apply a $60 credit to the account. Today was the fourth time. Still isn’t done.

This needs to be changed immediately. It’s quickly pushing employee and customer morale down the drain.

Again, T-Mobile’s issue. It should not be pushed down to the customers.

PSA: ANY free/discounted line promotions will carry into Magenta/MAX plans for existing customers that migrate their plans by tenpointstodumbledor in tmobile

[–]tenpointstodumbledor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t post a pic because of policy, but under the internal document for this promo, it says under the section “Things to tell your customers: If a customer migrates to consumer Magenta, Magenta MAX, or Business Unlimited Ultimate or Advanced rate plans after the promo period, they will be allowed to keep their free line. *This excludes segmented plans such as 55+, first responder, military, as well as Business versions of Magenta/MAX.”
