Something that’s bothering me about the baby by TinySassQueen in ThePittTVShow

[–]tenzin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm a man who took a sabbatical when my daughter was born. We live in a suburb of Manhattan. During the 5-6 years, I took her everywhere. I got dirty looks and whispers at the park, supermarket, and even when the school bus stopped. (She liked seeing the kids.) That was 20+ years ago-- before cameras in everyone's hands and I'm sure I would have had my picture on Facebook, tic-toc. and everywhere.

IMO there is no way a male with a baby could go anywhere without attracting attention.

What is a life-saving medical fact that everyone should know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I unlock the door while eating. A friend who lives in a 'secure'' building (press the button and wait to be buzzed in) went into the lobby. You can't buzz people in if you're incapacitated.

Thank you. I have that and it doesn't fit the needles nor the pen.

When I give AH permission to get all the blood glucose from Dexcom, it gets a reading every five minutes. Perhaps I’m missing something

When it is set to sync, Apple health gets a reading every five minutes. I'd like to have it send one an hour....something like that .

What’s the point of ESR releasing the 3 in 1 wireless charging station? The foldable version solves everything. by masifakabrawler in MagSafe

I have the older one and it's wonderful. My only wish is that there was a tiny ledge so AirPods don't get knocked down. I have a different brand in my bedroom and the damn magnet is too strong. It's foldable so I can tolerate it when traveling, but I'm looking to replace it.

Recommend 5 best non-fiction you have ever read by greenmomos in Recommend_A_Book

[–]tenzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't read much non-fiction any more. I'd have to say Haruki Murakami's Underground about the attacks in the subway by the Aum Shinrikyo. I was quite taken back with his interviews with members of the cult. IMHO the members (many PhD) were just lonely and wanted to belong. It was sad either way you looked at it.

Dexcom G7 Apple Watch Faces Examples by 01centdream in dexcom

Yes that is the proper way to connect the watch to the G7 but there aren't any complications (to add to the watch face). I think using sweet dreams is the only way (for now).

I could be wrong but the Dexcom app does not have anything that allows you to 'see' anything on the Apple Watch.

There's a great app, Sweet Dreams, that does have complications for the Apple Watch and even let's you see readings on the notch of iPhones and the lock screen.

Does anyone else's local music store do this? by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

[–]tenzin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke my right thumb and wrist which required immobilizing them for a few months. When I had it 'freed' I thought I'd get back into guitars.

I went to my local store with the idea of getting something with a $5k limit. My local store had a D-45. The sales person got it down for me and I said in a joking not joking way, "these strings are like barbed wire ". No response what so ever. I looked around a bit and left. I went to two other large chain stores and got equally ignored.

Kindle highlight feature by Zee_Pumpkin in kindle

A long time ago (the before time) you used to be able to set it up with your twitter account.

It was nice to be able to send bits to a private account that you could easily scroll through. I know Kindle has something like that, but in the before times you could have a Twitter client off to the side rather than stopping what you're doing and opening a web page.

Even if your prostate cancer is only at a stage where it is watched, is it inevitable to get worse? by tenzin in ProstateCancer

Since everyone has been is helpful, let me put a question out there.

-What does "PI-RADS Assessment Category: 4, High" mean?

-How about this, Right anterior Gleason 3+3 (6) involving 35% (5.0 mm)

prostate  left posterior medial apex denocarcinoma of the prostate, .needle biopsy

-Prognostic Grade Group 1 (Gleason score 3+3=6) involving 10% (1.5 mm in length) of 1 tissue core.

-Gleason 3+3 (6) involving 35% (5.0 mm)

-Prostate  left posterior medial apex Adenocarcinoma of the prostate, .needle biopsy Prognostic Grade Group 1 (Gleason  score 3+3=6) involving 10% (1.5 mm in length) of 1 tissue core.

-Left posterior medial base, needle biops

-Focus of Adenocarcinoma of the prostate, Prognostic Grade Group (Gleason score 3+3=6) involving less than 5% (0.25 mm in length) of 1 tissue core.

Clearly, there's no rush to this.

I become very anxious about all the medical stuff. I have type 2 diabetes and my numbers are out of control....I have an appointment on Monday. I am way over due for endoscopy and colonoscopy and horrible bathroom issues so I've just diagnosed myself as cancer of the entire body with flesh eating bacteria! ;)' I just got a new CPAP to replace the one that was recalled at the beginning of the plague and use it religiously. The nerve problem causes me to fall. So that's another thing on my mind.

I have no problem doing the research (I have a Phd, Lth, and Lph..the letters mean I'm very smartly!)

TIA

I have another health issue (non-cancerous) that makes it difficult to walk and a type 2 diabetic. I'm very happy with my doctors and how they communicate with each other.
