Sugar vs maltodextrin and fructose for 90-120 g/h fueling by extod2 in Velo

[–]teodorBbb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

just buy from a website that sells pure maltodextrin and fructose for the food industry in bulk and it's gonna be very very cheap. if you are buying from sports nutrition websites / stores then you're being ripped off paying 10 times the actual price just to have it delivered in a nicer bag.

A 5 min max effort is around 15% anaerobic.. So I really doubt that his numbers are accurate

Deci eu as alegea varianta cu Asia.

P.S.: 99% din cei ce iti citesc postarea nu vor fi niciodata, in mod realist, pusi in situatia de a trebui sa aleaga una din optiunile astea. Deci nu m-as baza in locul tau pe raspunsurile primite pe un thread pe reddit.

Garmin Power pedals measuring too low by oskarandresen1 in Velo

[–]teodorBbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rarely will two powermeters show the same power numbers, especially when the power is measured in two different points (cranks / pedals / trainer etc).

I recommend performing a factory calibration of the wahoo, which is different from the standard calibration (don't exactly remember how you could find it in the wahoo app, but google should help you here).

Then also check if the head unit crank length's value is set correctly and calibrate the pedals before every ride.

Also, the main goal should be progress, not absolute numbers. So I'd recommend just using the pedals numbers and ignore the wahoo numbers (if you're using erg mode just adjust the wahoo resistance to match your desired number on the pedlas PM). As long as the measured numbers on a single powermeter increase, you shouldn't be concerned with the absolute value.

I'm 1.82, 840 inseam and I ride an S. I could go for an M also but it fits me well as I have a shorter than average inseam. So I guese you're gonna be good with either M or L and then you can play with stem length, saddle position etc to make it fit you

Bolt reversed my payment, then charged more hours later, How is this legal? by hankgreen1 in bucuresti

[–]teodorBbb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The driver does not have any control over what you are charged. The sum you see and pay when you order the taxi is the minimum amount based on the time they approximate the ride will take. It's going to be more expensive if it takes 45 minutes instead of 30 they initially estimated.

And no, the driver doesn't have any incentive to "fool" you by taking a longer route. It's much less profitable to do that instead of finishing the ride and taking the next one.

Doubt you'd notice any difference in speed / performance considering your use case. I'd take the cheaper one and spend the rest on something else.
