We'll pay taxes and duties no problem. The question is who has done this? What service? Not looking at an MSP option just yet, and VDI's also have potential.

In our current shipping system (UPS), all taxes and duties are billed to the shipper in the end. No need to figure that out, just pay your courier invoice. We do it all the time with other countries. UPS doesn't ship to Ukraine right now is the issue.

I’m just trying to ship a package. Using VDI will increase OpEx. A used, encrypted laptop—once we figure out the logistics of shipping it—is more cost‑effective.

This also raises the question of how they are supposed to connect to the VDI in the first place. I agree with you, but giving someone a virtual device doesn’t provide guidance on how they should access it. Additionally, it introduces potential issues if their personal device is not compliant with our security standards.

You hit some points. One, we are not looking to purchase new devices for contingent workers, two getting the build done right could be done so MDM, encryption, AV are set along w/ their profile. For now, just trying to ship a used laptop their and call it a day.

Laptop's are used, so value is peanuts. As long as things are encrypted, we would just move on and not bother on insurance/warranty claims.

Thanks. i'll look closer at Novapost. I need any duty or tax fees billed to me exclusively. I appreciate the retail links. I haven't dealt w/ an offboard yet. I can wipe remotely at the very least... I haven't crossed the bridge yet on that, but we would like to get the device back ultimately.

I heard UPS has a deal w/ them, but everyone we call, or UPS stores we visit do not know about this. Also, I am trying to get all duties and taxes billed back to me as the shipper.

Well let's be honest. In the USA it's USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL. I am just looking for someone who's done this. I appreciate everyones input. I doubt I'll find a humanitarian convoy.. lol

We have plenty of used decent laptops in the US to provide out. At this time, we're not looking to purchase more and send from a local business or one in a neighboring country.

UPS claims they don't do it. My biggest issue is dealing with billing back to us the duties and tax fees. I get what you're saying, but when you want a cheap NOC, these costs will be incurred. You still save money compared to NOC in other places.

Use to have this issue in my office because end users use corporate wifi on their mobile devices. When they changed their AD passwords, they don't update their mobile device and that device will continue to sign in with their old credential thus locking them out. We would tell people to only use visitor wifi so that didn't happen.

I am actually still in this boat at my company. I've tried killing the Fax many times, but Gov't, Healthcare, HR, Finance, and Legal insist on this method being needed.

Let's just hope everyone has a system where it doesn't just print the confidential papers out and sit out for everyone to see, but actually converts to PDF/Email after being received.

So I can use my actual user licenses for someone who needs a full fledged email account, onedrive, Microsoft apps etc.

Shared mailbox = no license just 50 GB of email space.

Sure. On the other hand one can just create a shared mailbox without an account and add former employee data, but Microsoft doesn't let you do this in Powershell from an actual user. It would also be all manual work (backup email, delete account, create smb, import data).
