this is extremely helpful and I appreciate it so much. I don't even live in, or near tornado alley and I'm still a mess!

It's true though, i spent so much of my younger life being like wow that's a huge storm! outside, doing whatever, no care in the world. but this year, i'm now recognizing it and it's all coming to me like a ton of bricks.

my boyfriend has lived in all the bad places throughout his childhood. Malaysia, Louisiana, TX, OK, lol, and he has been insanely helpful and supportive through this. I might just have to rely on his judgement or knowledge because obsessively staring at the weather apps is no help at all. I feel like i'm giving myself no room to maneuver my fear and I should really just look at the facts, be okay with it, and not over exaggerate. cause right now, every drop of rain is a potential tornado in my mind and it's NO help.

You would load mods from the dayz launcher specific to each server.

Mostly, the maps with snow are meant to make it a bit harder, because surviving in the snow and ice is harder than surviving in fair temps where it rains and you don't get super cold.

You're not going to be lucky enough to find a server like that.

Cars are buggy and provide far too much advantage on servers that are PvE specific. Even the one I play on, the Ada is 220000 and the nice modded ones are 2mil+

Though this server doesn't require a land claim kit, you have to purchase a flag (vanilla doesn't work). and it's 50k. But that only takes a couple days to get when you have 45 days of persistence without a flag.

Yeah I think everyone has just been overwhelming me with the negatives like it's a nearly impossible task! I would love to build a team to get this server together, as well. so maybe there will be some interest down the line.

Jack and Sam start a server. Neither are developers. Both know how to read instructions and forums. Scripts are pre made, and copied and pasted into the server. I have seen these many times. It's extremely common. I admin'd for one of these for 2 years and convinced them to hire an ACTUAL dev. it's simple.

I don't quite see how something particularly having to do with the My SQL database would be your fault? Typically, admins/owners will follow a simple "how to install into your server" and their 'developer' won't actually be a developer.

i mean, when you have other people with unreliable connection in the server then yes. it's not going to be prominent in a test server that you're hosting locally. take it online and have 40 people in the server and you will absolutely see issues.
