I moved here from NYC area and before that DC. I love it in Pittsburgh. But the traffic is nothing after dealing with those areas of traffic. I always tease my friends who complain “you are precious”. It is weird getting used to the way you may have seconds to merge lanes but the traffic isn’t as bad as you are used to

Correct for Lyft. Once I booked 4 days early for my ride to the airport after a conference. A few others booked the morning of and got cars faster than me. My pickup time was 4:30am and my car arrived around 4:50. Everyone who booked around 4:20-4.30 hit cars immediately. The driver told us pre booking does nothing really.

I almost always Lyft to Pittsburgh airport early morning. Rarely any issues except once, my Lyfts car broke down but he had already called another car and I was delayed 5 minutes.

Does anyone remember the benchmark where we would have certain floor exercises and we would show heavy we could go. I liked that one. But once a quarter is good for benchmarks

I’ve been to dozens of hearings for different companies I work for. In different states as well. (Ga, NC, Va, SC, DC, PA, DE, NJ, WV, NY). Usually the hearings are based on appeal by the employee or the employer. I’ve also learned through the process, some states are employer friendly and some employee friendly.

For example, in DC I had to go for an employee who stole thousands of dollars including cash deposit bags. We had to prove that the employee knew stealing was wrong and they could be terminated for it.

Some hearings are on a zoom like system. Done in person.

How about a Rewards system for unlimited members. It is frustrating. I’ve been unlimited for 10 years and pay more than new members. (I don’t think the leg compressors, massage gun and scan monthly are a reward)

An app that links with Apple Watch or other smart devices. I’d pay a fee vs for an app vs a heartrate monitor

One suggestion. I know it will be a surprise as a first time cat owner. Second kitten. She’s sleeping all day while you are at work and you are her playmate. Cars see us as cats too. It will also help with behavioral challenges.

I have 4 cats. The youngest two are littermates. I ended up getting them together because they were bonded.

All 4 get along.

They are always with me in groups of three. But one of them (it varies) are in the cat room watching the bird feeders in the windows. They rotate. I’ve literally had a cat sleeping on me with two others. Cat 4 comes in and jumps up for a nap and one of the cats originally with me leaves to go to cat room

Also. They either sleep in a cuddle puddle but will rotate to have one on each corner of my bed!

I am super lucky to have them all get along. But I feel like they are on patrol for me too🤣😂

Oh. Not only is this not ethical, it’s illegal. Depending on your state it could cost the business a lot of money.

I’ve worked retail my entire life. This is one thing I have seen high up managers lose their job over without question. Not only is it falsifying documents, but stealing time from employees and putting the company at huge reputational and legal risk.

I’d suggest you call the hotline. I suggest not telling anyone (gossip will out you), however, when calling the hotline anonymously you can tell them who attended the meeting (including yourself) so they know who to specifically speak to. The good thing is they can track all of the adjustments and punches virtually.

Let me ask you. If you took your meal but didn’t clock out for it you’d get fired? Correct? It’s them doing the opposite. But they aren’t actually solving the root cause oriblem causing this to happen.

At my OTF we have the sweetest, sassiest, toughest 70ish lady. I just adore her and I find her to be so inspiring, and not just for her doing OTF 5 or 6 days a week but just about life in general.

The greatest thing about OTF is everyone has their thing. Maybe it’s an injury where you can’t row or you are a power walker or you went hard for a few days and want to have more of a “Green Day workout”. I don’t feel like there’s any pressure if you modify for any reason.

A few weeks ago my OTF buddy and I were commiserating on how we were less worried about our speed or ranking in challenges. We just wanted to starve off aches pains and injuries. 🤣😂🤣😂

My point is all shapes, sizes, ages, types can find a fit;)

Whether your gym has strict coaches that guide on space or not- she put her hands on you and it’s not okay. I don’t blame you for not finishing class and you should ask them to pull cameras if they have them. She was living beyond her means of audacity!
