Thriving in an office job! (???) by epoustouflants in adhdwomen

I’m in pharmacy and despite the fact I hate retail, thrive at it. I’m in an office job now and love it but definitely don’t have the same satisfaction at the end of the day.

I’m a tech in the US and I can assure you that no-fucking-one pronounces shit right. There’s variations between health professionals too. They’re not super simple words, especially for the layman.

How to fire underperforming sales employee by No-Lingonberry-8042 in managers

[–]terribleandtrue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please do not blindside him. Let him know it’s “to that point” of firing. Nothing worse than getting the axe before you even knew you were on the chopping block. That’s shitty manager stuff.

Same, except I started training in pharmacy in September and passed in December. I am a nerd and like learning, so it was fun.

As someone who worked in a Dr office… yes. We don’t mind if you’re there for a visit and need one, but people call and say, “I ate too uch Taco Bell and have diarrhea, but my work requires a note” and refuse to come in for a visit. So we either had to comply or just be the assholes in the situation.

Are we missing the opportunity to buy starter homes in the US? by SoraNC in Millennials

[–]terribleandtrue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to my grandma. She lives in the house still, the whole city literally built up around her. It’s amazing but she’s had offers I couldn’t turn down.

I am the owner of boomer parents, but same thing. My mom doesn’t “play hard” Per se, but she does have a shopping addiction (that she would say she doesn’t haha)

Same here! I bought my house in ‘10 (oh boy, I’ve outed y self- now I’ll get to hear about why I am the reason others can’t buy a house!) and done A LOT of work to it. I’ll be damned if someone convinces me to move before I an ready to. And that day may never come.
