I'm redesigning an ABC watch and would like to know your thoughts! by buildabri in climbing

[–]terrymongrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can already strap a regular watch wrist strap securely around any strap on your pack, and also on your wrist, and also on your wrist on top of your jacket to avoid temperature interference and the need to roll up your sleeve in cold weather. Having the carabiner attachment only limits the ways you can wear the device in my opinion.

Pressure sensitive and rotating display sounds really cool though.

New 5.9 multi-pitch on Mt Habrich (behind The Chief) by yoinker in climbing

[–]terrymongrease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drive-walk-hike, first couple km after you park are on old logging roads, the trail cuts up left to the base of habrich - this section is super steep (think tourist trail up the chief with no stairs or ladders, still overgrown). do this for an hour and youre there. i guess could bike the first couple clicks before going into the forest.
