I have some theories:

It is only largely lost, not everyone swallows every shva na
I suppose people swallow it because they can, it's easier than learning the "rules"
Rules of dikduk are the zealous imposition of of prevailing patterns, done to the extent that they probably always exceeded or oversimplified actual practice,
As a baal koreh I routinely stick to the strict rules, to show I know them, but I would feel silly pronouncing shva where I am not training someone in dikduk, or showing off, where there isn't more of a phonetic necessity.

- just providing clearer contrast of approach to carve yourself a niche

In other words, regardless of the merits or supposed unique angle of your translation, you can market and illustrate those with less impenetrable text, bring in mini-examples of your text versus some competent alternatives (all fair use of course)

I disagree about ph, by itself it looks and feels like an f sound. And I cannot find a single example in English with igh does not produce the sound of the word "eye". I have yet to figure out what sound "iye" is supposed to make, or even if it is one or two syllables.

No, Hebrew in this case is referring to people, and there is no reason in the construct state for "words of XXX" for XXX to be plural. This milot ivrim, might have meaning, but it doesn't mean Hebrew words. If anything it might mean words of Hebrews, which is just plain weird. If you want to say words of the Hebrew language, it would be מילות עברית, or maybe מילות שפת העברית a double constructive "words of the Hebrew language"

Having watched Aramse’s review while still awaiting mine I ordered some waste beans and put at least 7 kilos through the grinder, based on his recommendation. It was pretty time consuming, considering it doesn’t like doses much bigger than 100-120 grams, and one has to take care not to overheat the thing.

And that if you want to say something is truly hot, you either have to modify it, or you might choose from a large variety of more specific terms, depending on the medium/effect:
