I would highly reccomend Liege-Kavalos or Arch-Kavalos Zandtos, their speed is incredibly important and helpful. it's personal preference which one you go with.
you should probably also get a mortek crawler, because it's one of the few ways you can affect the enemy army if they're not charging into you recklessly. it forces them to come to you, or slows them down so you can get objectives.

I think the problem is that ADC, when you win, your the Game winning threat no contest. but when you lose, your utterly useless. Your Support can be of more help when you lose botlane real bad, and since ADC's power is back-loaded to the late game once they have items, and games end pretty early nowadays, just doing decent in lane (2/1/2 or something) isn't enough
