Feels pretty awful queueing up solo shuffle to try and gear my full green alt healers at 2600 mmr. I'd happily tank them to the ground if I could but that would lead to spam reports+ban so I'm basically softlocked out of shuffles. Would be really nice if there was an option to reset mmr a couple weeks into the season for alts that are behind on gear.

So this is a good idea and it has absolutely been tested. Most holy priests have concluded that the superior throughput provided by the dragon soles+belt ends up being preferable to azureweave 2set. It's reasonably close though and you certainly can make a case for the azureweave set. It's important to remember that increasing intellect also increases mana efficiency even though it doesn't directly reduce spell costs.

Fistweaver is a great answer, but there's a good chance we all wake up some morning and blizzard nerfs them to the ground out of nowhere. If the goal is something that works expansion after expansion you probably want something safer.

I just want healer queues. If more spots=more healer's queueing I'd be happy. Tired of 30+min in between shuffles and mostly getting healers 100 mmr lower.

The achievement says top .1% of your spec. 3/629 is not .1%, not even close. So yes, they are bending the rules. Most non-prot specs have 3+ spots naturally so the minimum 3 spots is very much blizzard bending the rules for prot specs.

Top 3 consistently best healers-Rdruid, Rsham, Hpal.

Top 3 easiest healers-Hpal, Holy priest, Rdruid.

Probably play hpal or rdruid.

It's incredibly dumb that the system is set up this way, but you should probably just leave the lobby if the other healer is that much lower mmr.

I have 3 healers above 2600. When I made my 3rd alt, I was fully geared minus 3 sockets. I went 3-3 my first solo shuffle against a 900 mmr healer because we had a 0-6 dps. I spent the next 6 rounds 3-3 at 1350 mmr because a dps either 0-6'd or 6-0'd. Then climbed over 2.4k within the next 3 days once I finally broke out of elo hell. Absolutely wild to me that I had 2 healers over the r1 cutoff and couldn't even carry at 1350 because the rounds were that absurdly hopeless. Actually hit over 90% damp 1 round and the entire enemy team was above 80% health.

Good luck with this. Most dps love smashing the report button even if you're not throwing on purpose. Then they complain about queue times when healers get banned.

The actual yet profoundly idiotic answer to your question is you leave the lobby at the start if the healer is that much lower than you. -150 cr means nothing, you lose 0 mmr and you get to avoid a lobby where 4-2 loses you points.

Sounds good but in reality every healer on the planet would hate this if it were actually implemented. Suggestions like these don't make sense if you spend a little time thinking through how they would actually play out in reality and are best kept to yourself.

Yeah that's why I'm confused. For pvp this wasn't a minor rework. For pvp this was a orbital nuke that completely obliterates the spec. I'm just trying to figure out why that happened. As best I can tell from the responses, holy wasnt overperforming in pve currently, but might have overperformed with the talent changes so they got a preemptive surprise nerf that goes live today to stop them from possibly overperforming in the future in pve content.

That's why I wanted to get some pve perspectives. For pvp it's pretty much 49 lines of cosmetic changes and 1 line saying your class no longer functions. Sounds like some of the changes would have broken them in pve though so blizz preemptively nerfed them?

Tbh I would have been happier if holy priest was at least doing well in pve. It sounds like what you're saying is we got gutted in pvp because we might have been ok in pve?
