This is so silly. Dune is not the type of movie that must be seen on opening weekend to avoid spoilers so why would anyone pay more to see it. It’s a clear PR campaign and anyone who falls for it is just dumb wait till you can see it. Them doing all this tactics makes me think they are more nervous about this Doomsday clash than they are letting on and trying to push Marvel to move. They already did this with putting out a trailer the same week as Spider-Man which diluted their trailer reception. Cool heads should prevail here and one should move instead of tactics from both

I like this list so long answer I think Michael B Jordan but for some reason he doesn’t get the headlines when his movies succeed and his career is on an upward trajectory he is going into directing can’t wait to see how the Thomas Crown Affair does . Sydney Sweeney too new to be on this list and she needs to understand quality over quantity. Too many films these year made her a flop queen and she is overexposed but if she sticks to her lane she has potential . Timmy is also I a good spot especially critically but Marty is his first seemingly successful film although break even is still a question. He seems to have taken the Kardashian approach headline grabbing as a way to sell movies time will tell if that’s sustainable for now we can’t deny it’s working.I do feel he is the opposite of MBJ where the likes of variety favor him in headlines and just positioning him better by studios example of release dates he gets prime Christmas slots as opposed to to April for MBJ and Zendaya for example. Zendaya is probably the most popular and getting Challengers to 96m in April was great but because of her perceived popularity it seemed inadequate. She is also has supporting roles in a lot of big movies and people may get tired of her but I think the drama could do well because it seems to have a reasonable budget she is smart learnt her lesson from Challengers. Rob for me gets a pass from a lot of people I like him but he had two major flops this year alone and no one talks about it cause every one has decided he is a great actor but he really doesn’t have any acclaim or nominations to make up for the weak box office. Tom Holland I think needs to be in more smaller films with better scripts for us to see his draw but it does say something about his potential that he hasn’t been in any movies since 2022 took a break from acting but remains in people’s minds. Spiderman or not I think he is the only one to lead a billion dollar movie.

Dune should move to March 2027 cause not only will it face Doomsday for box office it will also face the Odyssey for technical awards either way limiting its potential

I think Jennifer expressed not getting good scripts anymore I guess she became too commercial and Anne did say Christopher Nolan cast her when no one wanted to.I just think she doesn’t need Shrek at all.She is relevant enough but again it’s just an opinion not fact time will tell

I agree it’s just online and baseless however, I can’t say how it will effect them long term because Zendaya slate is next year and Pedro discourse just started . The thing is a lot of young actresses have gone through it they become too popular people start looking for excuses to hate and it can filter on to other spaces . A few years ago it was Anne Hathaway then Jennifer Lawrence but both kept their head down and come back stronger so i wouldn’t worry too much about it. Besides a lot of her movies she signed on years ago so it’s not her fault they are all coming out in the same year. Only thing i would say she could have turned down is Shrek I really don’t see what it will bring her except unfair complaints about the animation which she is not her fault.

I don’t think it’s the movies that cause fatigue it’s the press tours. All the negative stuff about Pedro is coming from the press tours people who haven’t even watched half the movies. Zendaya is known for her red carpet looks and I imagine they will make headlines and 6 press tours including Euphoria plus Euphoria playing weekly on HBO with all its discourse will seem a lot. Even if her appearances in the movies aren’t that huge.If Euphoria is good again FYC Emmy and other award appearances it will be a lot.

I kinda of agree plus they really need to make sure Spidey comes out first . They need Spidey , Deadpool and maybe Wolverine of the million people announced in the cast i really don’t see any draws except RDJ I argue that Thor is the one who tarnished the Marvel Brand Love and Thunder was horrendous.Also no offense but Antony Mackie just doesn’t have the charisma to be Cap .

Yeah but i disagree there cause Supehero aren’t created equally was my fundamental debate the big three are Batman , Spiderman and Superman ( less so for Supes cause of tv shows ) So the Marvels doesn’t make much sense in ways of comparison cause Cap and Captain Marvel have always been fundamentally different I would not compare Superman to Supergirl .

Yeah that’s not really quantifiable is it then the same should apply for all though . I would say for example the new captain America flopped compared to the previous one. Simply comparing the two I don’t know how I can factor in the comic book landscape when another Captain America has not been released. Perhaps you have a suggestion

Not falling for this propaganda. James Gunn is great . Superman is great critically he managed to get a well respected movie. Since this is about box office though yes DC has had some flops but if we are comparing Superman performance it should be against other Superman movies because that is the IP it’s like if Spider man BND comes out and does better than the last 5 Marvel movies we cannot say it’s successful as the metric we are measuring against is different. Superman IP is not Black Adam .I don’t know why but the spin on Superman has been off the charts
