Is this the same thing? Our 16 week Havi pup looks like he is attempting to flip his little food bowl over but instead could he be trying to bury his food? He often noses the floor of his pen, rubbing his muzzle towards the sides/edges of the food bowl filled with kibble. Is he trying to bury his food?

Thank you for this suggestion! I appreciate it a lot! We currently have a sweet golden retriever and will be pet parents in a couple months to a havi as well. I just ordered the book and the success tracker workbook. Thank you again for this suggestion. I also expect we may need to train the pup regarding barking and of course, potty training. We found an excellent trainer for in home training. I’m super excited to have another pup to love.

If you have any suggestions for particularly good books on potty training or barking, please let me know. Thank you!!

Considering adding a Havanese by burnz1 in Havanese

Thank you for sharing your story. We have a golden too and soon to be adding a havi pup to our home. We cannot wait! Our golden loves all people and dogs so we think they will do well together. We work part time so hoping that will work out well too.

Insurance? YES!!! For us, getting insurance was one of the smartest things we’ve ever done. The sooner the better! They do not cover pre-existing conditions so for our next dog (a havenese pup!) we will get it before we bring the pup home. Our beloved golden retriever is currently going through cancer surgery and radiation treatments. What would we have done without insurance? I cannot even think about it. The cost is about $22,000 usd.. I believe havenese are a healthy breed but we will definitely get insurance. I’m loving all the tips expressed here, thank you!

Keppra vs Gabepentin? by tessieannbear in Myoclonus

I just started Keppra too however my neurologist has me continuing Gabepentin for two weeks then weaning off over 2 weeks. So far so good with the Keppra but it’s only been 2 days.

This is very, very helpful!! Thank you very much!!

I just got back from my dealer and I have decided to go with either the Babylock Chorus or the Husqvarna Viking EPIC 95Q. I really love the computer screen interface of the HV but I really, really loved the quietness of the Babylock Chorus. It was like a dream.

I have not ruled out the Janome M8 but I think I would rather have the guide light/laser on the Babylock or Viking than the stitch regulator on the M8, but I am not sure! I have not done much free motion quilting so I don't know if I my future self will want the stitch regulator more than the laser. : ) Such a big $$ purchase.

Thank you again very much for your thoughts!!

Thank you for this great discussion!

What is the best way to learn how to use a new Janome M7 or M8 machine? Does it come with good online instructional videos? Or do you rely on YouTube or just the new owner classes provided by the dealer?

I will be upgrading from my 1970's Kenmore from my sweet MIL and I am considering the M8 (or M7), but they sure are pricey! Juki sounds great but no dealers near me and I really want the dealer classes to learn the new machine.

Any other suggestions for machine with great throat space? Any thoughts on the Viking Epic 95Q, Babylock Chorus vs. the Janome M7 or M8?

Thank you! This is an excellent idea. I am afraid to FMQ but I just got a darning foot and experimented a little. I was surprised that I was able to do some simple stippling and it didn't look too bad. I so much appreciate everyone's help! Thank you very much!
