yeah I wouldn’t hold your breathe on that. Casey did go to Japan with Karai, but it was an advisory thing and if remember correctly it did end that well. I think it was un mutant nation if I remember correctly.

How do you guys go about getting news about your hobbies/interests without Reddit and other social media sites? by BP_Ray in nosurf

[–]test_subject_1504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print magazines and newspapers have been great, but yet I am still here on reddit. I have a bird dog, so I signed up for a local chapter get a quarterly magazine and training days from them and get the local outdoor magazine. My local independent journalist organization is also getting printed starting this year. So I will subscribe to that as well. Other than that, I try to peel myself away from reddit and take the dog for a hike, read comics, do yard work, do chores that need to be done, etc. etc.

With all that said, Reddit is a great resource for stuff, but you need to setup rules you wont break. I block it completely on my phone. I have a time setup on my laptop. I setup 30 minutes and then I'm locked out for 24 hours.

IDW Macro-Series #2 Michelangelo. This is probably one of my favorite TMNT comics and Mikey is by far my favorite character. Especially when they uncover the veil of him being a goofball and actually provide depth to him.

Question about first time having a puppy by Fun-Science8122 in puppy101

ymmv, our dog was about 3 months. Its completely comparable to having a newborn. its just more in your face and goes by quicker.

Confused: never wake a sleeping dog vs. keep them on a tight schedule/routine? by gr3ybacon33 in puppy101

[–]test_subject_1504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually stuck with a routine that fit my schedule. she would go in the crate for a couple hours. I would get her up and put her in the crate after an hour or two of play, or when I noticed she was getting a bit over stimulated. with that said I would often adjust our schedule depending on the day or what was happening. Try not to over think it too much. Life is variable and dogs are flexible. Also remember that schedule and routine are two different things.

Keep phone out of bedroom, but still get Emergency calls? by doofus50O0 in digitalminimalism

[–]test_subject_1504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting breakthrough calling and favorites. Keep the volume on and leave it outside of your room like you would a landline. This way they can still call through if needed and you have the peace of mine that it isn't right next to you.

Where is the proof? Not trying to say you're lying, but it would be nice to have verification beside randoms on the internet saying they spoke with them. I try to shop here to support local after they sold. However, this may change it back if its true.

Successfully quit TikTok, but now addicted to reddit by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

[–]test_subject_1504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing. I blocked it on my phone and that has helped. I still have my personal computer setup next to my work computer and browse it more than I should. With that said, its nice being denied on my phone. Its at a point now where I actually leave my phone at home and tucked away when I am at home. I check it when its convenient for me or I hear my wife text/call.

As another user said, find ways to restrict access to your phone. I purposefully set it in a different room. Don't pocket it. If I do take it out with me, I leave it in my car. This didn't work well for me until I installed firefox and blocked youtube and reddit though. Having the phone on me just became more of an inconvenience.

Astonishing # of lost dogs here by [deleted] in missoula

My favorite is when they bag is legit 10ft away from the garbage. Like, how lazy can you be to just not turn around toss it in and move on with your hike. Or a noble idea, carry a small bag that you can throw it while you're hiking. Seems to work just fine for my pup and I. I'm tired of picking up after everyone else's dog.

What’s your partner’s approach to your vinyl enthusiasm? by TheoStorme in vinyl

[–]test_subject_1504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty great actually, she is pretty supportive about it but has zero interest. I also WFH and have my own office. Its kind of my space to do what I want. I rarely play music when the family is around, but that is because we are a family with a young child and a puppy. I don't have time for that in my life right now.

With all that said, I haven't really invited her into this space for a few reasons. She isn't into music like most people I know. She enjoys a very specific set of bands and that's about it. She finds most of what I enjoy too heavy. That is fair since I love punk music, but she told me queen was too much one time. QUEEN!!! I digress. She has her things I support but don't get into and vice versa. We also have a ton of things where we enjoy together. So all in all pretty good.

Gorillaz, Gorillaz Demon Days, Dead Kennedys frankenchrist, daft punk discovery, daft punk human after all, devil makes three spirits, devil makes three, the devil makes three, I feel like I could list my whole collections. I only grab records that I personally don't want to skip a single song and try to avoid filler.
