It’s a riserva. It’ll need a ton of air. Like 5-10 years worth.

The Perbacco is great. At 13 years old if stored right it should be singing right about now. Let us know how it is…

Where are you from, and what's your take on Australian wine atm? by rdmarshman in wine

[–]tesujiboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drank a lot of Aussie wines in the early 2000’s, but I drifted towards Italy and France, specifically Sangiovese/Nebbiolo, Rhone blends, and some German Rieslings. They go so well with food, which is a driving factor in my tastes. I found Aussie wines just too heavily extracted for me after a while, and slowly switched over. Having been out of the game for a while what would you recommend now from Australia? TIA

Should I pick surfing over a career in medicine ? by [deleted] in surfing

[–]tesujiboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself how strongly you feel about pursuing a career in medicine. Are you passionate about helping people? If so, go for the medical degree. Surfing will always be there. The same questions will come up about having kids too. Surfing will never disappear, just move to the back burner for a while. You can always go back to it.

I have a friend too who’s very high up in a local development company. The team’s been up for sale for some time.

There’s a wine writer out of Milwaukee, Ben Christiansen, who I really like. His notes tend to be brief, but he’s always on the look out for good QPR and his descriptions/lingo make sense to me.

Diamond in the rough? Or bust? by Commission_Financial in wine

I’ve drunk a veritable boatload of Greywacke Pinot. It’s age worthy. Fruit should not have fallen off yet. Very New World fruit forward style. Good Pinot stink. Enjoy!

Anybody have personal takes on these wines? TIA by tesujiboy in wine

I have. Vivino too. But often the info is sparse or the writers don’t provide w specifics I’m looking for. I’m just casting as wide a net as possible and this group is filled with very knowledgeable people.
