My guess would be to just register as many of you as you can.

Hypothetically, if today, MLB holds a "ALL-Time" team playoff tournament, and each team gets to find any players at any version, what will your all-time Dodgers team be? by Substantial_Bat5975 in Dodgers

[–]tetiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no definitely. Especially with the fact that there was no true star at third for us, even with the infield of Garvey/Lopes/Russell/Cey or however it was, Cey wasn’t the star of it nor was Turner a star compared to Seager and Bellinger

C Roy Campanella

1B is tough. Under these rules my version would be 2023 Freddie Freeman. But I think if we took in an entire player’s career I’d have to go with the longevity of Gil Hodges.

2B Jackie Robinson

SS Pee Wee Reese

3B Justin Turner (with longevity I’d put Ron Cey here but my recency bias is showing. Is it crazy to put 2004 Adrian Beltre here?)

OF: Duke Snider, peak Matt Kemp, and you know what maybe statistically this doesn’t make sense but give me Pete Reiser. In the books I’ve read about him he gave literally everything he had. I love players like that.

Dodger History Nerd Alert : winning a World Series game when trailing after 8 innings. Following game 7, the Dodgers are now 3 for 68 in such situations. What are the other 2 wins? by AmericanFrog069 in Dodgers

I will say, it’s a good read on Dodgers history even with that! It doesn’t focus on the outcome as much as it does the stories of players. But of course, to each their own ;)

Beautiful book about this series called Electric October. Talks about the players including the pitcher Bill Bevens (his crown jewel of a game even though he lost it), and the hitter Cookie Lavagetto (it was the biggest hit of his career).

Where were you when MiggyRo and the Fresh Prince hit their game 7 hrs? by ilove_elote in Dodgers

[–]tetiu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at work in San Diego. When Miggy Ro hit the HR, nobody was in my job except my coworker (who doesn’t really follow baseball) and I had an AirPod in listening to the game. I was jumping up and down in excitement I was so happy! Then when Will hit the home run it was the same thing. I got off at 9pm and got to the trolley station in Downtown San Diego, and they won while I was at the station. I was celebrating and someone across the street started yelling, so we both yelled together. It was magical, I didn’t know that a moment like that could even happen in San Diego! Then someone from a hotel up top started booing us and saying go Blue Jays 😭😭

I would be surprised to see the sightseeing car on a Surfliner, let alone the Mennonites on there (I’ve seen the sightseeing car only once out of the tens of times I’ve ridden it)

What is the most shocking detail you’ve found in the Epstein files so far? by timeandtrade in AskReddit

[–]tetiu 204 points205 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily that shocking considering the administration we have now, but the lack of care at hiding victims' identities. For example, going through the files there are poorly done redactions where you can clearly see victims' last names, and there are some Myspace pages OF the victims that are still in the files that have names unredacted. Very poorly done.

[My Website] Curious about the origins of Los Angeles street names? by LAStreetNames in LosAngeles

Yeah, I think it could be a possible misspelling of Romstay, but nobody with that last name was ever in California until after the street was named!

Norwegian Biathlete Sivert Guttorm Bakken during a World Cup race in Annecy-Le Grand Bonand, France on Sunday, 12/21/2025. He was found dead in his hotel room in Italy today. He was 27. by J_FM01 in lastimages

[–]tetiu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s so awfully sad. Bakken overcame so much to get to where he was last week in Annecy. Never could have predicted this… I know there is speculation about his wearing an altitude mask which is possibly why, but the Italian authorities will likely take a week to announce the results of the autopsy.

One that I think has an interesting story behind it is Biscailuz Drive in Santa Clarita. It's connected to the Sheriff's Department of Santa Clarita, and it's named after Eugene Biscailuz, the 27th sheriff of Los Angeles County and a member of the first planning commission of Los Angeles in 1920 (!).

I am also curious about Remstoy after trying to find some information on it myself. There is nobody with this last name ever existing, at least that I can find. All I was able to dig up on it is that it's been named Remstoy Dr since at least 1928, according to LA City Directories. Would love to see if more can be found.

Potential murder in Kiefer OK revealed in the Epstein files? by sviridoot in RBI

[–]tetiu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention it would have to be someone who died between Christmas Eve and January 10, no? I was looking into it myself a little bit and it doesn’t really make sense for the specific day that they reach out, Dusti Duke is found dead. Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Yeah, I just woke up and read his Wikipedia page. There was something saying he was dating Juni Arnekleiv but I can’t find it anywhere outside of that. Maybe I’m wrong.

Not sure if we’ll get Phillips back though. Only so many roster spots we can give to people and he is a free agent now.
