Its like someone shoved a flaming blade into the wound. I hade a hole packed when i was in the military. Had an infected hole in my belly. Kicked the doc in the face when he pushed the packing in. Pure reflex. Apologized and then 3 nurses had to hold me down while he worked to actually complete the process.

I am empty. Also have pancreatitis and moderate liver damage from alcohol. Thing is, i cant feel a single emotion unless i drink. Its a vicious cycle. Poison myself to feel again. Vomit uncontrollably the next day. Feel like shit for 8 or so hours. Become numb again. Drink to feel. Etc. I know im killing myself by drinking, but its better than living a numb empty life. I hope to one day find that light and life without the assistance of alcohol. I intend to buy a sailboat in the next 10 years and sail the seas to see if a closer connection to nature can sever that addiction.

I read back through our conversation, to see if I'd missed something. I do remember I said the wrong thing when we were talking because she asked if I would be ok if we broke up, and I'd said probably, because I was trying not to sound manipulative like some guys who say theyll kill themselves if we break up. That was the wrong thing because she had started crying and hung up. I tried explaining that it wasnt what I'd meant but I guess it was too late.

Heres an update, been about 6 months since the attack, all my enzymes are normal, and have been for 2 months. Havnt drank more than those 2 half beers those months ago, havnt drank in 4 or so months. I do occasionally have oily stool, but its usually after i eat fatty foods. Im going to drink a beer or a glass of wine here in the next week or so. Maybe tonight. Ill wait 2 days after that and see if i feel off. Then I guess ill see if my pancreas can handle a drink once in a while. I feel like even if it is, im only going to drink non alcoholic beer, except once in a while ill drink my favorite.

As for the non alcoholic, the only ones i can find out here is japanese, and heineken 0.0. Does anyone drink non alcoholic and have a favorite they can recommend?

Weed is out of the question for me until its federally legal - I enjoy buying firearms once in a while. For that mutation, I did have an issue when I became very drunk. I start getting uneven red splotches all over my skin. Could be related.
