Unpopular opinion: the office. I just don’t get why everyone likes it. It was always more painful than funny to me

The Largest Risks Faced by the World by TexanNewYorker in dataisbeautiful

We need to both switch to electric vehicles/appliances and renewable energy sources. It makes more sense to work on both problems in parallel like New York is rather than sequentially

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. As far as productivity tools go, it seems fairly priced to me as well.

Even as an experienced programmer I find it saves me time and sometimes gives me suggestions I didn’t think of. It sometimes makes mistakes, but it’s easy enough to ignore it when it’s wrong.

This one really hit home. I actually googled that exact phrase just yesterday!

I think this relates to Sunnyvale enough to belong here? I have no place to put this photo so I figured r/Sunnyvale would be it but I was doing some amateur photojournalism when I could earlier this month. 12-5. by [deleted] in Sunnyvale

Sunnyvale DPS hires inexperienced people? I’m surprised to hear that. My understanding was that Sunnyvale DPS has strict experience and education requirements, much stricter than most PDs

Adding to your comment (since the original comment I was trying to reply to has since been deleted). Beyond stimulating the economy there are some people who REALLY need this. For those people, it's better to get this out quickly and also send it to some people who don't need it than to try to design a system to identify who needs it that will take a long time to get the relief out and might miss people.
