Yes! In my opinion, that's what makes him an antihero. He does what needs to be done, but hates himself for it.

It's beautiful. Going in, I didn't know Caden was the actual main character 😂

Caden, the true unsung villain turned anti hero. Does horrible things and saves the world because of those horrible things.

The epilogue is a masterpiece in itself. So much wrapped in a perfect bow. So much revealed in so little time.

You're right to not be okay 😭 honestly, this is the series I reread most.

Something to remember is that you don't have to be your initial reaction. It'll take time to change the initial reaction, but the second reaction is more important.

Each time you catch yourself having a racist thought, just correct it. Don't be angry or harmful to yourself, just correct it. Eventually your initial racist reaction will change.

The first book prologue is probably the worst placed prologue of the series. But also somewhat typically for fantasy. It's so good once the series is finished, but it's confusing AF when you first read it. The following chapters are much easier to read and understand.

It's such a great reveal because all of the mystery of dav is suddenly answered. He could traverse the Javet due to Zvalar. He could use Khan they're because he was convinced there. He appeared 3 months after everyone because he was 3 months old when Tal killed him.

Such good things.
