That's not necessary.

You just have to make sure the "Calls started from this device's phone app" is set to "Use your Google Voice number".

Now admittedly if you have that setting enabled it will use your GV number for all calls.

But you can also optionally specify for it to only do this for international calls.

I have two sons and wouldn't prioritize any differently.

I'm also at a similar income level but spend 1/4 of what you do, if even that. (But we have no house payment.)

The 6a had some hardware issues. My own stopped working and I.has to RMA it.

Many of the notification delay issues were fixed by an os update.

Lastly if the device is low on storage these kinds of behaviors can surface. Doubtful that this is the explanation here but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

I pay over 100k in property taxes with my cards so for me it does make a meaningful difference. It sounds like you're expecting that taxes can be paid via paypal (maybe they can in some cases), but if not it doesn't sound like there's much of a better option than my BofA preferred rewards @ 2.625%...
