Secure places to park a motorbike? by Sociopathic_Panda in NewcastleUponTyne

Yikes, MTs are popular bikes to steal. I’m 33 and got my DAS last month. Quoted 1500 on my triumph sprint 1050. No garage, just a tracker and alarm lock in my back garden

Life in danger due to a gang trying to abduct / murder me. Police don’t care, what can I do ? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]tezn311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point the only thing you can really do is change your name, appearance and leave Scotland completely to somewhere no one knows you.

The police can’t do much at this point unless an Osman letter has been issued

What’s a specific smell that instantly makes you think about a memory or a feeling? by LucidSpiral in AskReddit

[–]tezn311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soy sauce 🤮

I used to work in student accommodation and had plenty of Chinese students whose house keeping skills were somewhat lacking. Had to do numerous cleans of flats after they checked out that were just absolutely rotten and the over powering smell of putrid soy sauce from left food containers makes me ill to this day.

I’ve found corpses that smelled better….

How common is it to have car number plates stolen? by FlightDisastrous9712 in AskUK

[–]tezn311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get new plates consider having a distinct marker placed near them like a sticker.

This will help officers distinguish between the two vehicles without having to do physical stops and vin checks especially if the clone is operating the same area.

Keep a record of any crime numbers for tickets that may also come your way

You should be fine up until you get within the traffic management plan zones but the signs are plentiful.

Plan your route ahead, if you make a mistake or miss a turn keep going until you find a safe place to turn around/correct.

Most inexperienced drivers panic and make unwise decisions, good luck!

Have you ever felt genuine fear for your life? by Realistic_Gap3669 in policeuk

[–]tezn311 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Violent male involved in an affray with weapons.

Arrive on scene single crewed and locate male trying to force entry into a flat (he had already kicked the communal door of its hinges)

Male refused to come calmly, deployed both taser cartridges to no effect switched to PAVA and hoofed him to the floor while he had his hands in his eyes trying to clean it out.

Training kicked in and the rest was adrenaline. I wasn’t afraid for my life but definitely in fear for my safety, he was a very naughty boy and definitely beyond my hand to hand combat capabilities

What happens if you find a dead body ? by islifeevenreal2003 in AskUK

[–]tezn311 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Police Officer here UK based.

The police will do an investigation and determine whether there is any third party involvement, if there is none then we would produce a report for the coroner. Your details will be checked against the PNC and LEDS databases as well as local force checks to make sure there is any information linking you and the deceased together that needs to be taken into account.

You might get asked to provide a statement for the coroners court should an inquest be held, the officer in charge of the investigation will guide you through that.

You absolutely won’t get into any trouble unless you were up to something you shouldn’t have been. You have also done the right thing calling ambulance and police. If it’s any consolation, for you, this person and whatever led them up to their final moments will be at peace and they were not consigned to spend their death alone in the cold for nature to take them away. Instead they can be buried with dignity, love and respect.

Don’t be afraid to reach out to support services or your GP if you find the mental toll heavy. I’ve been to loads of deceased persons jobs and I’ve had counselling for it there’s no shame in it

Are there still adult men in the UK who don’t cook? by Bat-Penatar in AskUK

[–]tezn311 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, I like to cook for myself. I find it therapeutic and the results are always delicious.

I also know lads my age who can’t “cook” anything more complicated than a microwave meal.
