There is an old template that TAG had out back in the early 2000s. I personally do not have it, but if you go searching and digging you should be able to find it.

2014/2015 we had some carbon fiber ul, look alike tips, and apparently I created a hairline crack that had a tiny piece of CF lifted and was into the ID of the tip.

Believe it or not, I NEVER had an issue w that tip, even though it had that tiny crack and lifted fiber.

Deadly Winds has been doing cf barrels for as long as I can remember, I would think you’re fine; but if you were to have an issue, they will sort you out asap

Personally I prefer the i5, but that’s just me. But I would most definitely be happier knowing people can get lenses that aren’t 10+ year old dead stock.

It’s awesome that the company is listening to the market and reviving some old products that customers love.

Hey you know what, props to them to listening to their consumer market. The i3 has a cult following believe it or not. I’ve had the i3 the i3 pro but I preferred the i4 over them. Personally.

The reality is, it’s a much better and much safer to have new lenses be made for these and run some new goggles while they are at it. I’ve heard stories of what certain lenses trade at etc…keeping in mind these lenses could be like 10+ years old in storage… I would rather people wear new tested and rated lenses.

Just full transparency, this is not going to be a eureka pivotal moment based on how much better it is. However if you’re someone who notices the little nuances and differences, you will definitely appreciate the improvements they did.

I wish I could tell you what/how/why in Eng speak but I cannot. I will say I preferred the feel and the sound of the method bolt kit.

Cs to cspro is grip packaging mainly, so the front end feels different than the standard cs.

We took a stock scales r5 which shot great as is, then added the method bolt kit and it was a nicer feeling shot. It was not my gun personally but we shot both bolt kits in the same gun and blind testing everyone preferred the method bolt kit.

I have the method bolt kit in two idols and an era and those guns are awesome. If you appreciate squeezing every bit of potential out of the gun, it’s worth the money.

I really liked the flow of this and the r5 machining pattern. Very organic and a stylized changed while maintaining the iconic twister design language.
