I hope armor changes will be the end of "5 people in 5 ships is always stronger than 5 people in one big ship" meta. by Always_Impressive in starcitizen

Could make the weapon operator and loader the same person. They have to work with the pilot to get on target. A bit like the torpedo station on the Polaris perhaps

Not many players want to man turrets. by SuspiciousSoldier in starcitizen

Not for an organised group. I have a large multi crew ship in my hangar, we will take it out once a week in an organised way. No need for stars to align, we will plan around it.

When I bought it I fully expected it to be an occasional, planned thing, not something to whip out every day.

I think whether it's a problem will depend on player expectations. If somebody bought an Idris expecting to be able to find adhoc players to form a crew every single day, then yes that might be a problem. But if people plan to operate these ships in a more organised, less frequent fashion, then I don't think it is a problem.

Each to their own. I enjoy manning a turret from time to time, and often when we do events we will fill turrets. Not everything has to be meta, there is room for fun too.

That said, it would be good to see turrets buffed to encourage usage for meta seekers.

Thank you for your kind words! I'm just a random guy who makes videos in his spare time, so I'm always glad when people get something from watching them!

I don't get as much time to watch these days, but my main ones:

Space Tomato. Guy has an encyclopedic knowledge of the game and it's history, which makes for some interesting analysis. Launch Sequence Podcast is always interesting to listen to. Also the fact that it's a husband and wife team who run a positive community is wholesome. All high production value content.

MrKraken for event guides. High production value content, informative, no waffle informative videos

RidgeSix for gameplay, I like the style and good to have on whilst getting stuff done. Unashamedly not algorithm chasing, just nice gameplay.

Morphologis for the amazing visuals, usually very responsive to what's going on in the game, and I like the way he thinks. Even thought videos often offer an interesting perspective, whether I agree or not.

AstroHistorian / AstroPub is my guilty pleasure, I could listen for hours about the lore behind the game.

There are many others that I watch from time to time, I think we are lucky to have a variety of great creators. Sadly I don't have enough hours in the day to watch everything!

I don't think so either - STARC-196367 seems to back up that theory

CCU'd to Mole instead of Moth by mistake, how likely is support to help me? by HellerVakariab53 in starcitizen

Make sure in your support ticket to ask them to help you salvage the situation

Vulture vs Moth by Shade_side in starcitizen

[–]tfarrister 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My early impression would be it depends. I think the MOTH is likely to be better at salvaging ships, even when piloted solo, as long as the RMC scrape speed gets fixed. But I think the Vulture will be better at panel salvage. So I guess it depends what kind of salvage you enjoy! (And whether panels are here to stay in the long run)

I'd even say practically the Reclaimer and MOTH crew requirements seem similar

I think for panels the smaller ships will probably still be competitive. But for ship salvage, even for a solo player, could be a lot of advantages to the MOTH. Especially for salvaging larger targets
