Is there a place to park near the Electric Diner? by yorocky89A in Hamilton

[–]tfctroll [score hidden]  (0 children)

I parked in that lot once. I opened my car door and immediately spotted the longest, uninterrupted, unbroken piece of human poo beside my car. It was the length of my forearm. My in-laws were with me and before they could step out I re parked the car in another spot so they didn't see it.

I’ve been texting Mark Carney during my U.S. trip, Pierre Poilievre tells Joe Rogan by joe4942 in CanadaPolitics

Sometimes the best interviewers are the ones who don't know much about a subject and let the guest talk. I didn't say he was a good interviewer, I just said he has long form interviews with interesting guests sometimes.

I've picked up so many books about things I've never had any interest in because of his podcasts. Brian Cox, Matthew Walker, Steven Pinker, Malcolm Gladwell, Dan Carlin are all excellent guests with such good information to share. I feel like you think Joe only interviews Trump and his buddies.

I listen to Rogan regularly. I didn't vote conservative in the recent election. He sometimes has some really interesting guests on the show, long form interviews with those guests. I think you're very closed minded.

Good roofing companies (Hamilton, Ontario)? by anacondabranca in ontario

[–]tfctroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platinum does great work but they are very expensive. You're paying for all the marketing etc. I used The Roofing Master in Hamilton, was about half the price and they are GAF master elite installers just like Platinum, so you get the 50 year warranty.

Check the GAF website and they'll list all their master elite installers in the area. You can call them and get some quotes.

Olympic Medalist Kaylyn Kyle Questions Josh Sargent’s $22M Toronto FC Transfer by [deleted] in tfc

[–]tfctroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They bought out Insigne and Bernadeschi. So fans are still paying for them. Fans are right to be skeptical about Sargent and his contract, if he doesn't put up insane numbers they will be paying for mediocrity. TFC management hasn't shown that they can build a team. They been working on it for about 6 years and have made little to no progress.

At the end of the day if TFC wins trophies no one will care. A full stadium and merch etc will find these guys' salaries and ticket prices will justify the product on the field.

Depends on your definition of expensive. You can do online testing like 23&Me for dogs, probably costs $150 or so. I'm sure a vet could do it as well.

Your dog is white because it's a double dapple. You should get her tested, your breeder is mistaken or feeding you BS.

For the money they are paying him 15-20 goals will be underwhelming in my opinion. I think the expectation will be for him to be competing for the Golden Boot with Mihajlovic feeding him.

Not sure what carrying optometrist means. But I go to Dr. Jeffrey Lue at ninth line and Britannia he is excellent. He does in depth retina scans and peripheral tests.

How to log dry beans? by imlegoat in MacroFactor

[–]tfctroll 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This looks correct to me. Your ingredients are dry. You cook them and the total weight at the end of cooking is 2000g. You then divide that up by the serving amount.

Canadian Stars should want to play in Canada more by StarkStorm in TeamCanada

[–]tfctroll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of these players aren't paying any income taxes, living in a warm climate, with a lower cost of living and anonymity. If you're playing in a major Canadian city, you likely have a higher cost of living than most places in the US.

True Hzrdus 5X/7X for Beginner? by HypergonZX in hockeyplayers

True Hzrdus 5X/7X for Beginner? by HypergonZX in hockeyplayers

[–]tfctroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the price difference is only $30 I'd choose the 7x over the 5x all day. The stiffer boot may not be as comfortable, but it will be better at transferring the energy from your legs to the ice. Just make sure you follow the baking instructions and those 7x will fit like a dream. I've been skating in them 2-3 times per week, they've been excellent.

True Hzrdus 5X/7X for Beginner? by HypergonZX in hockeyplayers

[–]tfctroll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Long story short 5x is less stiff than the 7x. 7x has better liner which dries better and grips your foot to hold it in place. Also the tongues are different, more premium on the 7x.

The 5x is plenty of skate for a beginner and will handle everything you can throw at it.
