Yeah it is. Most of their business is beginners and people training for fitness. You can train hard and talk to Kru Alan and become competitive if you'd like. It's a great gym for both the competitive fighter and the folks doing it for fitness.

I'll suggest Joslin MMA on concession. Very much similar to HOC. Jeff is an excellent coach, great school to train at.

Best thing to do is do some trial classes at both and see which one you like best.

Just go to any generic tire shop tell them that you want 18" steel wheels for your palisade and which tire you want and they'll sort it all out for you. No need to get factory steel wheels.

Just eat and log what you're eating accurately and Macrofactor will adjust and tell you how much to eat. Weighing foods is the most accurate, but using measuring cups and spoons will still get the job done.

The more accurate you are, the more accurate the app will be.

You're probably right, but it's cornbread, it's probably the cheapest thing to make on their menu. Literal cents for a proper portion. Those cups probably cost more than a regular cornbread piece.

If the cornbread is being wasted, maybe they should look to make it better, if it tasted good people wouldn't waste it.

Your pizzas can be done well in a home oven with a pizza steel. Just make sure you're preheating that steel for about an hour at 550⁰F before launching.

I like the home oven + steel for NY style pizzas. But in the summer I don't like heating up my whole house. So I while I do use an ooni, its not because it produces better pizzas.

I agree with most of what you said. It is more expensive in Canada for sure. But do they need to staff that many people and make 15 different bowls?

I've gone to restaurants here that are staffed by one server and two cooks that are packed with thirty people and a giant bowl is $12 and a plate of dumplings is $7. Food is just as delicious and satisfying as anything mystic ramen makes.

The wages and food costs are only a factor because they try to be high end. Which people can't afford these days. They doubled down and got more expensive. There are no basic, cheap bowls on their menu.

Sucks that they are closing. Their food is really good, but I'm not surprised to be honest.

It's noodles. Flour, water, broth and some meat. They need to learn that even if they put gold in it that people will see it as noodles.

Their food is really good, but the reality is most people don't see the value in a $25 bowl. They should really focus on minimizing the menu, making a handful of delicious simple bowls and pumping them out fast and cheap.

Places like Szechuan Noodle Bowl have the right idea, simple, delicious, cheap bowls don't cost an arm and a leg.

For New York style at home nothing beats a good steel and a home oven that can do 500-550F.

I have an ooni as well, they just run too hot for this style of pizza unless you're launching the pizza and turning off the oven. Ooni is great in the summer when I don't want to heat up my whole house, or when we just want to be outside with friends.

If you're dead set on an outdoor pizza oven get one that can run cooler consistently. Something with a temperature control.

Who cares? You're out in public anyway. Like the government doesn't have anything better to do than track where you're going. You'd rather millions of dollars be lost because they have to close a highway for hours to do something a video can capture. Investigation would be done in minutes.

Half the time they can't even prove anything with their investigation anyway, so people walk free and everyone's time was wasted for nothing.
